To what length can the wall be created?up to short or mid?

2.Couldn't find a picture of it but am pretty sure i get what it looks like.
Q: can it be used to defend from attacks from an upward direction?
1) It's length is 2-3m at best, enough to trap the opponent. You can however create it from short to mid range.

2) You collect the dust and make the wall in front of you, so I'm afraid you won't be able to defend against attacks from above.

got it...next set please
( Doton: Rokkuhanmā ) - Earth Release: Rock Hammer
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user manipulates their chakra and creates a huge rock from the ground that will rise up, hammering the opponent by slamming it down from above them.

Using your chakra you can rise up a huge rock out of the ground and then slam it into your opponent. Pretty simple and self explanatory.

( Doton: Iwa Dangan ) - Earth Release: Rock Bullet
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user manipulating their chakra creates and sends a huge rock at the opponent, causing them to fall back.

Same thing, except this one is not coming from above the opponent but rather horizontal towards him, knocking him back.

Pierce? It's too big to pierce someone, don't you think? It is strong but don't forget the fact that it's a C rank. It could damage the opponent, but he would probably survive with smaller injuries.

yeeah....okay next set please
( Doton: Jōshō Iwa ) - Earth Release: Rising Rocks
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user claps their hands together and then unleashes two huge rocks from the ground on either side of the enemy to send the opponent flying backwards.

So you clap your hands and as you do so, two huge rock formations quickly rise out of the ground and converge inwards, towards the opponent. As they hit him, they send him backwards with possible smaller injuries.

( Doton: Gizagiza no Iwajin ) - Earth Release: Jagged Rock Formation
Rank: C
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user will manipulate their chakra and stomps the ground. By doing so, he causes small fractures to rip through the ground, which will then force fragments of earth and rock to rise up from the ground like protruding rock formations to then deal blunt force damage to the opponent and raising them up into the air.

Pretty simple and cool technique. I do like it a lot personally but I'm not that much of an earth user. Using your chakra you channel it into the ground and stomp your foot on the ground. This will cause smaller earthen chunks to protrude from the ground to impale the opponent and lift him up, not too much though.

[Sorry but couldn't find a picture of either one]
1. Can the rocks be used to smash into the target?and if the rocks srupt from the sides, how does it push the target backwards?

2.Is the damage dealt only from the upward motion of the rocks or can the user manipulate the rocks' movement?
