I luther will be your teacher and the one with the responsibility to teach you the techniques and help you master the element, while making sure you understand all the workings and uses of It. Being this our first class I want you to tell me in details some information to the element you will be learning. I have your training thread subscribed to and would be notified when you reply, I ask that you don’t bug me or remind me for training, unless 6 days has passed since my last reply, at which point you should send me a VM/PM.

Earth Release is when you use chakara to either manipulate the earth surrounding you, or create it when there isn't any. When using Earth Release can change the density, by making it heavy or light, and you can also change its strength by making it hard or soft. Using Earth Release can be used transport yourself underground allowing you to setup traps.

What makes this element unique is that it has more than one form, for example dirt, mud and rock, unlike the other elements.

For strength I believe being able to change its strength and density you can have a hard substance with not much weight on it, therefore for increasing its speed and power. Its weakness is the element Water.

1. Earth Release is one of the basic elemental nature transformation techniques and allows the user to manipulate the surrounding earth for offensive and defensive purposes or create it; be it dirt, mud, or rock. Earth Release techniques have the ability to change the strength and composition of the earth from being as hard as metal to as soft as clay, as well as manipulating their density making them heavier or lighter. This includes allowing the user to travel through ground and rock in various ways which can be essential for both transportation and for setting up attacks or creating defences or for offence. Indeed, this makes earth techniques one of the most versatile of the elemental techniques. Pre-existing earth is not necessary though, for the user can create it with their own chakra.

We will start with two basic and simple techniques. For the first, pick up a small chunk of rock and mold it into the shape of a staff. Use it creatively along with any basic taijutsu movements such as kicking, or punching and attack my clone. *Creates A clone*
2. For the second technique begin to concentrate your chakra all around your body and focus it on any arm of your choosing and then using shape manipulation release the chakra in form of rings which you throw towards my clone.

After hearing sensei's instruction, Netero picks up the nearest rock he could find. While holding it firmly in his hand he then closes his eyes and starts to take deep breaths in through his noes and out of his mouth. Focusing on the chakra inside of him, he then channels the chakra towards his hand an then emitting it onto the rock. After doing this Netero then thinks of the weapon his sensei suggested, which was the staff. Concentrating on it's shape which is a thin, long cylinder. Netero opens his eyes and witnessed the small chunk of rock transforming into a staff, immediately he then turned his attention to the clone standing infront of him. While holding the staff with both hands, without hesitation he runs towards the clone with both hands above his right shoulder he swings the staff at the clone in a diagnol direction, making contact.

Netero carefully observes his opponent in front of him and his surroundings at the same time an notices there are a few rocks beside him. He immediately reaches for an explosive kunai inside his pouch, located on his right thigh, and swiftly throws the kunai at his opponent. His opponent realise that as the kunai gradually get closer his vision worsen. Netero then took advantage of this situation and picks up a small chunk of rock. Focusing on the chakra inside and channeling it towards his hand and into the rock, the rock then transforms into a staff. Holding the staff with his right hand he aims for his opponents head and throws it with full force.

Netero closes his eyes and takes deep breaths, knowing that this time there isn't any earth to use for this technique, and that he would have to create it. He is now in a relaxed state of mind and concentrates on the chakra inside of him and channeling them to his arms. Focusing carefully now that he has to make rings of earth around his arms, he then releases the chakra outside of his arms, not too much and not too little. After that the next step is to make the rock, he only then thinks of the nothing but the rough yet smooth glassy texture of the rock. After doing this Netero the n follows the same steps overy a three more times until he gets the four rocks floating around him. Focusing again on the Chakra inside of each rock he releases it at a certain direction, and one by one the rocks follow each other, until they hit the ground.

After doing this Netero then focuses on his chakra again but this time he channels it to his arm, he would then create rocks floating around him. Once he has done that he gets in range to his opponent and flungs the rock at him, waiting for his opponent to dodge or block, Netero the closes in to do a thrust attack with his staff.

Its range? List all the ranges that exist in the battle field and estimates of the meters between them, and which type of fights are best suited for which ranges. Also expand more on what you were referring to when you said ''earth is not required''
Short range is about 1m away from your opponent and is mainly used for hand to hand combat and weapons such as swords, spear, kunai etc, basically taijutsu and kenjutsu. Also some jutsus like Chidori and Rasengan
Long range is about 20m away from your opponent and it involves jutsus or weapons that can travel at great distance, for e.g. Fireball jutsu or shuriken.
For Mid range is about 10m and to be honest I don't much about it

1. The first technique is very basic and can be used for defensive,offensive and supplementary purposes. Use your chakra to create small shields of earth to defend you against my incoming kunais. *Throws kunai towards you*Short range is about 1m away from your opponent and is mainly used for hand to hand combat and weapons such as swords, spear, kunai etc, basically taijutsu and kenjutsu. Also some jutsus like Chidori and Rasengan

2 and 3. The second technique goes hand in hand with the third. Begin to change the earth beneath you into fine sand by channeling chakra into it, then begin to dig through it like a mole towards my clones location. Then using the decapitation technique emerge from the ground directly under my clones location and grab his feet pulling him towards the ground leaving only his head above ground. Use his immobility to your advantage and launch other freeform attacks with it.

While inside the earth, the user cannot make handseals and can only use Earth techniques below C-Rank. If he tries to do a higher ranked technique, he'll disrupt the Hiding like a mole technique and be left crushed.

After hearing sensei's orders, Netero closes his eyes and concentrates. Focusing on the chakra inside of him and channeling them to his hands, Netero places both his hands flat on the ground. The chakra that is flowing through his hands then emits into the earth below him, after that he would concentrate hard on making a pillar of earth erupt right in front of him which then happens immediately. The pillar of earth blocks the kunai that was thrown by sensei, at the same time the pillar would block his vision of his student.
Using this to his advantage Netero would then move onto the pillar next technique, doing the same thing before, channeling his chakra to his hands and placing his hands on the ground, this time Netero would change the composition of the earth. First he would feel the strength of the ground and it's texture, this would help him understand what he would change. Thinking of nothing but a piece of earth transforming into something as soft as sand. When finished the ground would turn into sand allowing Netero to dig through underground, once he was underground he could then sense where his opponent was. Being able to move swiftly underground he heads towards the clones location, stopping right iunder the defenseless clone. Netero quickly reaches both his arms out until he made contact the opponents feet, grabbing firmly on both his opponent ankles he would pull the clone until only his head was left above ground. Netero grabbed his kunai from his pouch and stabbed the clone in his gut, when the clone went "poof" Netero then slowly came out of the ground making a loud grunting noise as if he was a zombie.

Since it's a small pillar it can't fend off larger jutsu

As I said before both fighters will lose sight of each other, so doing a bait attack so they can use the technique you can then follow up with a finished.

1.Perform the rat hand-seal, use your chakra to control multiple sections of rock and move them around my clone, forming two gigantic structures beside him and crush him at once. *Creates three Clones*
2. Focus and concentrate your chakra into the ground beneath my clone and make spikes of earth forcefully protrude from the ground to skewer my second clone in the leg making him to disperse. This spikes can be done in any earthen surface, including other earth techniques of the user so it is a very useful technique in battle.
3. For the final technique concentrate your chakra into your hands and then slam it on the ground creating small earthquakes to make my third clone loose his balance and fall to the ground.

Netero performs the Rat hand seal and immediately slams both his hand onto the ground. Focusing on the chakra inside of him he begins to channel his chakra through his circulatory system then to his and later into the earth. Afterwards Netero turns his attention to the first clone infront of him, rather than focusing beneath the clone instead he focuses on the side of it. Two gigantic rocks emerge out of the ground and crush the clone, as if they were both the opposite pole of a magnet.

He moves swiftly through the sand until he is beneath his opponent and grabs both his legs and pulls him, only leaving gist head above. Netero then channels his chakra to his hands, performs Rat hand seal and slams his ams both his onto the ground causing to gigantic rocks to come out and crush the poor guys head. autoplay

Netero looks at the ground below the second clones feet, imagining the shape of the earth transforming into spear like spikes, focusing how sharp the tip would be enough to pierce through someone body. As a result a few spikes erupt out of the ground piercing the clones feet repeatedly.

They will have to be on the ground so the jutsu can make contact especially for the last, but if they are in mid air wouldn't it be useless? And changing the solid earth to sand is what I meant, like the previous technique. Also for defending I would have to use Water techniques, since it's earths weakness making it muddy.
