Once being instructed to perform the last doton technique he learned, Shadou raises his arms in front of his chest and weaves together four hand seals (Ram โ†’ Dog โ†’ Rat โ†’ Bird). While weaving together the hand seals, Shadou gathers his chakra while allowing it to take on the properties of earth. He channels this chakra throughout his chakra network and into the ground beneath him. Once his chakra is released into the earth, Shadou begins to manipulate it, creating a large hole in the ground that formed a tunnel.

Description: After forming the necessary seal Snake, the user creates two walls of earth and traps their target in between them.

The user will summon two normal sized earth walls in each flank of the opponent which come together not to crush but trap them restricting their movement, then you can send a finishing attack. Rather basic, the walls move at a fast pace, and the user needs to do one hand seal. The opponent can still however counter it even if they are caught it restricts only movement nothing more. Very simple but nice to use in combos.

Description: The user will manipulate their chakra releasing it into the ground and with a wave of their arm or through the application of a weapon can cause a small wall of dust particles and sand to rise up from the ground and thrusting forwards. This technique creates a simple dust screen that will fade away after 3 turns.


A basic defense jutsu, the user will manipulate the debris on the ground to rise by a wave of the hand to create a dust wall. It is simple enough to protect the user from projectile techniques. If an opponent comes to close you can use it to force him back because if they get to close to the wall it has a type of property able to push someone back some meters. Lastly since its made of dust you can see through it. After summoning the dust screen it will remain for 3 turns before it fades away, it can block the vision from you and you're opponenet. This will be advantage because you can use a snick attack right after you summon the dust. Its a little larger then the opponent.

Description: The user manipulating their chakra will point their palm or fist at the opponent, creating a large rock on it which he then sends at the opponent. Alternatively, the user can "spit" the rock. In this case he will spit a large globule of mud which hardens mid way towards the opponent into a large rock.

Basic technique the user will simply use the earth to raise a huge rock and sends it at the opponent. This technique is projectile based and very easy to perform as well as quick. Its combo friendly as well as its able to go a very long range. Its easy to counter though and straightforward jutsu. If you have no earth source you can just spit out a large mud sphere which hardens to rock mid way pushing the opponent back

Combinations-strategies
I could use this technique to trap my opponent and then send a powerful jutsu other than lightning at them to finish them off before they can escape. Using a technique or flash bomb to blind my opponent and then setting up this trap will leave him nearly helpless. While trapped, I could perform a technique that can form above my opponent and rain down on him while his movements are restricted.
Ways to counter this technique
I could use a lightning technique to break through or surround myself in lightning to destroy the earth that would allow me to escape. Using a strong enough fire jutsu might weaken the walls, allowing me to escape the trap as well. If I have a clone on the battlefield, I could have him send a lightning jutsu as well to break me free.

Since my opponents vision is blocked from me and he would most likely be concentrated on getting through the screen, I could use a jutsu to attack my opponent from the air or behind him while heโ€™s focused on the screen. If my opponent is dashing towards me to perform taijutsu, I could use this technique to push him back.,

Ways to counter this technique
Using a strong enough wind jutsu should blow the screen of dust away, allowing me to see my opponent and attack. I would assume that a wide scale fire jutsu may be capable of burning through the dust, also getting rid of the technique. If not too close, I could activate my sharingan to pinpoint my opponent and then use a jutsu that can hit him from below or above.

I could leap high into the air and perform a jutsu capable of being performed mid-air to go at my opponent after using this technique,

Ways to counter this technique
I could use the wind stream technique to evade the incoming rock. The moment the jutsu is performed, I could use a technique to boost me into the air so Im away from the rock. Sending a wide scale lightning technique should be capable of breaking the rock, preventing the technique from hitting me.

A quick jutsu to use, the user will summon a huge rock from the ground to rise up, which he then begins to control and sends towards the opponent from above. He then sends the rock to crash down upon the opponent. Its a very good jutsu to use for attacks above but you must keep control of the rock. The rock is moves at a normal pace and the performance of the jutsu is quick.

Description: The user claps their hands together and then unleashes two huge rocks from the ground on either side of the enemy to send the opponent flying backwards.

Very similar to the technique. The user claps their hands and unleashes two huge rocks from the ground on each side of the opponent that appears anywhere close to the opponent, it acts to try to attack the chin or any other area around them. The impact can cause the opponent to fly back in the air. As said before they are left vulnerable in the air, they rise quite quick and the opponent can sense the density happen in the ground before they officially rise so they can anticipate an attack. Difference is you can only use it up to mid-range the most.

Description: The user will manipulate their chakra and stomps the ground. By doing so, he causes small fractures to rip through the ground, which will then force fragments of earth and rock to rise up from the ground like protruding rock formations to then deal blunt force damage to the opponent and can raise them up into the air.

The user will stomp on the ground and make the ground shake and tear through small fractures through the ground which will then force the ground fragments rise all over the area where the tore went through. The fragments will appear also around the opponent rising to hit them into the air with some serious force. They will be dealt damage as well as be vulnerable in the air. Simple and very fast jutsu after you stomp on the ground you can move on to your next attack.

Before performing this technique, I could use a technique to trap my opponent so they cannot move and then have this technique hit them from above. I could use a technique that travels along the ground and while my opponent is trying to evade that, use this technique to strike him.

Ways to counter this technique
I could aim a lightning jutsu at the rock to break it apart and save it from slamming down onto me. While the rock is rising from the ground, I could use a technique such as the wind stream technique to get me out of range. Sending a quick jutsu at my opponent or projectiles might break his control of the jutsu as well.

Once I since the technique about to be performed, I could send lightning down into the ground to break through and prevent the technique from happening. Once I sense the attack, I could also use a technique to boost me into the air.

I could stomp and perform this technique and send a quick fire or lightning jutsu at my opponent while they are trying to evade. Once in the air, I could send another jutsu at them or set up a trap at the spot their going to land at.

Ways to counter this technique
Once the opponent stomps on the ground and I see the fragments, I could perform a quick lightning jutsu to surround myself or direct a lightning jutsu at the fragments to destroy them. Using a strong enough fire jutsu aimed at the fragments may protect me as well. I could also use a technique to boost me into the air to get out of range.

The above list is my top favorite five earth techniques. Mudshot is basic but I put it on my list because I like that the technique can be used to not only blind the opponent but choke them as well. A blinded opponent gives the opportunity for the user to follow up with more jutsus and catch the opponent off guard while their vision is gone. The second technique I like because it doesnโ€™t require any hand seals and can be used to defend the user from frontal attacks. A perfect technique to use for defense in a fight against an opponent who likes to send jutsus straight at you. I like the third technique because it traps the opponent while inflicting damage, not a bad technique to use in battle to slow an opponent down. Rising Rocks I chose because it creates two huge rocks to send the opponent flying backwards. Since the enemy is vulnerable while in the air, there is room to send another jutsu which makes this jutsu a good one to use. I like Bedrock because it forms on the sides of the opponents and then crushes them. I believe itโ€™s a perfect jutsu to use while the opponent is distracted to catch them off guard.

Description: After performing the required hand seals Boar ? Ox ? placing hand on the ground, the user causes the ground surrounding the enemy to spiral inwards on itself, burying them alive or crushing them in a mayhem of jagged rocks. This technique is capable of causing quite a bit of damage to a large area. This technique is much more damaging if used in rocky mountainous areas, or inside a cave.

Okay after doing two hand seal and placing their hands on the ground the user will have the ground spiral in on itself, attempting to capture and crush the opponent. It can easily bury the opponent alive and the movement of the jutsu us actually quite fast. Its a great ground attack and great to use against a faster opponent on ground and since it spreads a long range its tough to evade. The user must keep their hands on the ground the duration the ground caves in. Its good to use with a partner or a clone.



( Doton: Dosekidake no Jutsu ) - Earth Release: Earth and Stone Bamboo Shoot Technique

Description: The user of this technique condenses the soil and rock in the area to sprout out in the form of four large spikes which attack the target from four separate directions to make it harder to evade. However, it can be easilty avoided by escaping upwards.

The user will condense the soil and rock around the area in 4 directions around the opponent and summon 4 spears out of the ground which travel towards the center to come together all 4, now of course the opponent is meant to be in the middle and the spears act to try and pierce the opponent from all over the body. They appear in four directions around the opponent making it hard to evade, but you can still evade above or below. The spears act to try and cage the opponent in. After the spears come together you can begin to the next jutsu, if you want to execute it properly.



(Doton: Iwa Bunshin) - Earth Release: Rock Clone Technique

Description: The user creates their clone out of stone. Unlike other types of clones the rock clones donโ€™t disappear after being defeated but rather crumble like rubble. These clones can also be used to create a clone of other people than themselves but do not take on the abilities of the copied person.

Okay the opponent will make an exact copy of themselves or another person who they have seen, made of rocks and earth chakra. It will look just like you though it will not have any abilities of yours or that opponent. Its very nice to use for deception and can be made fast. The most this clones/copies can do is move around but not fast.

Ways to counter this technique
The moment I notice the difference in the ground, I could use a technique to boost me into the air and away from the area that this technique covers. I could send a strong enough surge of lightning into the ground once the user places his hand on it. If I have a clone on the battlefield, I can have it send jutsus at my opponent, preventing him from keeping his hand on the ground.

If the technique does land, I could send a fire jutsu at my opponent to burn him while the spears pierce through him. Placing my opponent under a genjutsu that immobilizes him would also give me enough time to get this technique off.

Ways to counter this technique
I could use the hiding like a mole technique to escape into the ground and avoid the technique. I could also use a wind technique or so to propel me upwards also avoiding the technique. Surrounding myself in the lightning plasma technique might prevent the technique

Sending a strong enough lightning technique at the crumble would be enough to counter this technique. I could summon a clone capable of using lightning jutsus and have it send them at the clone while I focus on my opponent. Sending a strong enough fire technique should also work and reduce the clone to rubble.

Description: The user surrounds themselves with earth, taken from the immediate vicinity, in order to fabricate a formation of rock that is capable of protecting both the user and others in close proximity, if desired. Doing so, seemingly leaves the surrounding terrain unaltered, even when the quantity of earth used is enough to form a complete dome around multiple individuals as seen when Ittan used this technique. The user can also manipulate the resulting shelter to have openings in it so as to be able to observe outside, as demonstrated when used by Kitsuchi.

This is a strict defensive based technique. The user will manipulate the ground around them to create a dome of their size to intercept attacks, great thing about it is you can protect other people who are in close range of you. Its a basic technique and simple to perform. You can also manipulate it to create small holes to take looks of the outside to be prepared and know whats going on.

Description:The user creates a dome of earth, which protects them from external attacks. The domes shape is in a similar fashion to wood release: wood locking walls. That creates a half face dome.

The user will manipulate the ground close to you to rise a arced shape dome of earth protecting you frontal area. Its half face dome basically, its not very large in height but is very much in width. It can withstand basic attacks. Simple.



(Doton: Fukusuu no Dorosandan) - Earth Release: Multiple Mudshot Technique

Description: This jutsu is basically a widespread version of the Mudshot Technique; allowing the user to fire at multiple targets.

This jutsu is very similar to its weaker C-Rank counter part. It has the same similar traits, it can force an opponent back, when hit on the face their vision is hurt due to mud all over the place and they can choke. You can also aim on the ground to have a opponent trip over. Its also a projectile technique so you can quickly send another tech without hesitation. This time you can send more then one, though note the more you send the weaker each get.

Since this technique is used for defense, there really isnโ€™t much opportunity for combos. If against a stronger opponent and needing the time for a breather, I could use hidden in the mist technique then this technique to hide and protect myself while I come up with a gameplan. If on the defense, I could also summon a shadow clone and have him deal with my opponent while I recover in the shelter. If I have a partner on the battlefield who is taking damage, I could use this technique to protect them.

Ways to counter this technique
If I want to break the defense, I could use a strong enough lightning surge technique or the lightning needle attack and maybe the chidori to break through the shelter. Perhaps using a strong enough fire technique can make the technique trap my opponent instead of protecting him.

Questions
How long would it take to โ€œdeadtivate this techniqueโ€? I would assume against an aggressive opponent that if this technique takes awhile to cancel out of, the technique can backfire.

Another defensive jutsu not leaving too much chances for a combo. I could perform this jutsu then while protected I could use a jutsu that doesnโ€™t travel straight into the dome and that forms from either above, below, or behind my opponent so I can attack while protected. If in a tight area with my back against a wall, I could use this technique and have little worry about my opponent being able to use a jutsu to attack me from behind.

I could use the hiding like a mole technique to move underground and travel behind my opponent, then emerge from the ground and attack him from behind. Since the dome doesnโ€™t cover that much height, a lightning technique that forms in the sky above that I could use to strike my opponent from the air would work. If I could manage to go vertical and gain a lot of air, I could rain down strong fireballs target at the shield. I could also summon a clone and have him move behind my opponent to attack his blind spot.

Combinations-strategies
A technique capable of blinding leaves room for many combinations, simply using this technique then following up with any jutsu is a combo. If my opponent likes to perform taijutsu, I could aim this technique at the ground to catch him off guard and cause him to slip where I could also then send jutsus. If my opponent is a quick at maneuvering, I could fire multiple shots in hopes that one will hit.

Ways to counter this technique
Once I see the mud coming at me, I could use the wind stream technique to move out of the way or an attack to shift me up into the air. I could send a large scale fire technique to overcome the mudshot as well as a strong enough sphere of lightning. If aimed at the ground, I could use a wide scale water technique that forms a wave that allows me to ride on top of it to quickly move away from the spot the mud land.

After performing the required hand seals the user will manipulate the ground to be almost like water, they can manipulate it in many ways. They can ride it like a wave of water and send it to an opponent for a attack. They can even have it wrap around the opponents less trapping them. The user must concentrate on the waves the whole duration of the attack. Its great for attacks as well as set ups. It has a strong bind and push attack. Great flexibility as well with the jutsu as well.

Description: A trap technique in which the user will place somewhere and is activated upon contact with the opponent's chakra. The user uses a scroll to lay the trap in which releases mud that forms into the shape of wolves that will attack the enemy target/s. Despite being damaged the wolves can reform which can keep the enemy occupied to allow the enemy make a getaway. (Can only create a maximum of 3 mud wolves)
Note: Takes one turn to set the trap up and wolves only last two turns

The user will place a scroll somewhere around the terrain with your chakra infused, after one turn the scroll will be released and summon wolves made of mud. The more scrolls you set the more wolves that come out, 3 is the maximum. When the wolves are released they will charge at the opponent with great speed, this wolves moves by your will, you tell them what to do, but during the duration you do you can't use another technique because you must remain focused on the wolfs. Lastly a great ability is any attack they take which is taijutsu,kenjutsu, or any low ranked attack the wolfs can reform. This is a great jutsu to set up attacks and combos to a great extent.

Description: This Technique coats the users body with stones, making them much more resistant to attacks, at the cost of their speed. Whilst using this technique, the user can even change their appearance, but once the technique is either defeated or worn off the users original appearance is shown. The user whilst in this armor is resistant to A rank normal ninjutsu but is vulnerable to Lightning Techniques.

A armor made of rocks and stones gathered from your chakra. This armor can take some serious damage for the user so its a great defense based technique. Its resistant to mostly all A-Rank ninjutsu but vulnerable to Lightning. Now with the armor on you can change your appearance to fool an opponent but it only lasts until it breaks or wears off. Lastly the rocks give you a increase of mass so you will have extra force behind kicks and punches but lowers your speed. The armor constantly saps chakra from you for every turn you leave it active.

If my opponent is directing a jutsu at the ground, I could use this technique to evade it. I could also use this technique to trap my opponent while inflicting damage and then send a fire jutsu at him.

Ways to counter this technique
If the user is at long ranger and is performing the jutsu, I could use a lightning jutsu aimed at the beginning of the wave to break through and stop the user from riding it. If quick enough, I could use a technique to boost me into the air, higher then the opponent and the wave and then send a mid-air jutsu at them, knocking them off the wave and breaking their concentration. A stronger enough jutsu could be used to stop this technique as well.

If my opponent likes to perform taijutsu I could send a wolf at him to slow him down. During the turn before, I could use a technique to trap my opponent to lead into the next turn for the wolves to be prepared or occupy my opponent with quick jutsus to distract him from the scrolls.

Ways to counter this technique
Before the wolves are formed, I could use a fire jutsu to maybe burn the scrolls? I could use the hiddin in the mist technique and stay underground until the wolves vanquish or a technique that boost me into the air to avoid the range of the wolves. Surrounding myself in lightning or sending lightning jutsus at the wolves would break them, giving me time to come up with my next move before they reform. If all of the wolves are close together, I could use a stronger earth technique to trap them.

If I were to summon a shadow clone beforehand, would it be able to use jutsus since I wont be able to?

I could perform this technique and move near my opponent to perform taijutsu techniques with the extra damage. If attempting to fool my opponent, I could blind my opponent and then summon a shadow clone of myself then use this technique to take on the form of something else to confuse my opponent.

Ways to counter this technique
I could use basically any lightning jutsu technique since the opponent would be covered in rock to break apart the armor. Using ninjutsu techniques greater than A rank would also wear the armor down.

Description: After performing the Snake hand seal the user will channel their chakra throughout their entire body, which then hardens their skin to a steel-like quality. This increases their defensive power to the utmost limits. The userโ€™s skin also becomes much darker, an almost black colour. The destructive power of physical attacks is increased, making this a great, all purpose technique. But this technique when activated leaves the user vulnerable to lightning based techniques.
Note: Kakuzu bios can use this technique without the need for handseals

Another great armor. The user will do the snake hand seal and channel doton chakra throughout the entire body turning the skin into steel-like substance. The users skin becomes darker as well. With the armor you can withstand B-Rank attacks but is vulnerable to lightning. With the armor the user gain ferocious strength. Its great to not only block but attack as well, note you will have your speed lowered slightly. Also you can still use jutsus with the armor, but the armor stays active one turn.

Very quick jutsu to use, the user slams their hands on the ground and rise under the opponent a giant rock section which will hit the opponents feet with force hurting them badly then launch the opponent in the air. From their you can attack a opponent where they are vulnerable in the air. Before the rock rise, you can feel the density of the earth slightly begin to harden. Easy technique right after you send the chakra to the ground to rise the rock you can go onto the next technique.

Description: The user does 2 handseals (Ram ? Snake) and creates an opening within the sky, which drips down onto the opponent a large amount of sticky mud (in all similar to that of Swamp of the Underworld Technique), covering them. The mud is very heavy and thick as well as adhesive, making it impossible to move if caught and easily crushing an enemy underneath. Itโ€™s normally followed up by Lightning release: sixteen pillar bind to create a giant oven around the opponent and then using Fire release: Firing biscuit technique to ignite the oven, hardening the mud and immobilizing the enemy target.

The user will open up a portal from the sky and allow a very sticky mud drop down onto the opponent. It is very large and has a large quantity. When the opponent is covered it will be virtually impossible to move since the mud is sticky and restricts movement to a large extent. Its great to use with combos and can be used to distract a opponent allowing it to drip if its sunny outside, a shade will go over the opponent. You can use it as a distraction if the opponent notices to attack them. Also as said in the description you can use it in conjunction with the lightning and fire jutsu mentioned above.

Since the user of the technique will move slower, I can use a wind technique to quickly push me away or into the air and then send techniques greater of B-rank (except water) at the target of send a lightning technique at the opponent to break apart the opponent. A technique used to carve the earth or trap the opponent should also slow him down.

As stated in the technique description, this jutsu can be used in conjunction with the specific fire and lightning jutsus to pull off a deadly combination. Since my opponent is restricted, I could send heavy loads of fire jutsus at them to pick away at their life. I could use a genjutsu to give my opponent the illusion that it is raining, and then use this technique as a cover up. If trying to force my opponent into a corner, I could use this technique as a set up on a terrain where the sun shines brightly.

Ways to counter this technique
Using a strong lightning jutsu that covers my body like the plasma technique should break apart the mud. The moment the portal is formed I could use a wind technique to get myself out of range. Sending a lightning jutsu at the mud before it drips onto me should also destroy it. I could also use the hiding like a mole technique to go underground and shield myself from the technique with the ground above.
