Those who r saying Naruto is clingy.........since when did Naruto go to all the Shinobi's houses and started bugging them?? U_U
It seems that they are reading a different series entirely. Whenever he is shown, he is either in his own room playing cards, or training somewhere, or in a mission. It is generally others who come to his room at times whenever necessary.
OT: I would be fine with guys like Shikamaru, Naruto, Kakashi and Neji......Lee and Gai are the clingy types, but it is fine as long as they are trustworthy. I have many friends who are clingy and I try to avoid them.....but Naruto is nowhere close to their level!! U_U

When you say the words "Naruto" and "friend" in one sentence it makes people think of Sasuke immediately, and we all know how Naruto sticks to Sasuke, even if not physically.

Also Naruto has this power of friendship thing going on.
