I do have friends like that. Not exactly like Naruto, of course, that'd just be plain annoying. However, the qualities you stated in the OP apply to the majority of my closest friends.

Yea Shikamaru makes a great friend too.
He has that cool front, doesn't like to express much, says unpleasant things at times but you know deep inside him he does not mean it.
