Sasuke was stronger than Naruto at the start of part 1 but halfway through it, Naruto became stronger. Could Sasuke beat Gaara at the Chunin exams? He lost so bad to a half transformed gaara and would've died if Naruto hadn't come, whereas Naruto beat Gaara completely transformed. The only fight against each other was at the valley, in which if Naruto really wanted to kill Sasuke he would've won.
Sasuke became stronger than Naruto at the beginning of part 2 and after that, they became even until Naruto was able to use Kurama's chakra.
The competitions you mentioned have no relevance in this topic so I don't understand why you mentioned them?

I would have to disagree on the point the reason you can say that is that naruto has no resolve in seriously hurting sasuke and that is his biggest flaw the same as hashirama........Everytime naruto go to fight sasuke he fight him with kid gloves on now when sasuke go to fight him he gives it is all meaning he seriously wants to hurt him.............i wish they would fight seriously and naruto not holding back

But the way I interpret this manga....
It is more than obvious that Sasuke has a winning record but never of those times were Sasuke's real wins, every time the storyline took a certain twist and Sasuke got ahead....
But depending on the recent story development, I m seeing Naruto terribly over-whelming Sasuke... And it's IMO really necessary for a perfect ending(not a fan-satisfactions ending where all kind of fans are happy)

Naruto is not going to lose against Sasuke. Unless he's tired at the beginning of fight. like he was in the valley of the end fight.

after thinking for a second sasuke is actually calling himself a bastard cause it wasnt kakashi who used tiger sign against his own comrade it was sasauke who used it on his comrade.
And Now After sasuke used Fire jutsu to destroy Naruto, Naruto still survived

By " DAMM-IT " Sasuke is showing his anger or Dispointment after he saw Naruto's Rasengan is more Powerful.
and By " I CANT STOP " Naruto was showing his Regret to not been able to stop cause he knew It could have killed Sasuke.

Forget the "main character" thing. Isn't Naruto supposed to end cycles and stuff? If there is a pattern, isn't he supposed to break it? History repeats itself in Naruto, but isn't that supposed to end WITH Naruto? I thought that was one of the main themes, but I might have been reading this manga wrong forever... I thought the Uchihas were badass for god knows how long :'(
That actually doesn't guarantee anything at all. Naruto started closing the gap between him and Sasuke when he defeated Gaara. It was obvious that Naruto is progressing to the point of being Sasuke's equivalent, which clearly pissed him off.
Sasuke can't always be the superior one an the same applies for Naruto.
Kakashi and Obito is not a valid example, it's already obivious that Kakashi<Obito and that Obito loses for plot purposes.
Sakura and Ino, as I hate to say it, is another example. It used to be Ino>Sakura, but its pretty clear that Sakura>Ino.
Another example is Gai and Kakashi. It used to be Gai<Kakashi, but now it's the opposite.
Sasuke can't always be the superior one an the same applies for Naruto.
