Don't underestimate The Uchiha Clan

I translate rival as rough equals and that is what i meant by manga/DB claims. In the end neither got the better of each other and an alliance was formed. That doesn't say anything about either being superior than the other

Rivalry between the 2 strongest clan of the naruto universe. Uchiha and Senju. Their rivalries transcend from generation to generation. They are clearly equal and non outmatch one another. Thanks you for understanding this. I respect u!

Well, most clans are weak compared to their strongest. Kimimaro is an example, he was stronger than all his clan members when he was a kid.

But yes, they are the two strongest clans, however, I've gotta disagree when you when you say that the Senju are stronger. They are equals, otherwise, the Senju would have just taken them down instead of forming an alliance

I will have to argue this point.. only stating that just because someone went for an alliance doesn't mean that they are equal.. I will give you an example. If you placed the Senju vs Uchiha in an all out death battle. In the Manga it does hint to Senju being superior not by much but that is just kishi's own nature Senju represented as good uchiha represented as a more evil side. Well if Senju where to have an all out death battle with the Uchiha I believe the Senju would of completley killed off all of the Uchicha "in an all death battle" which it would of been. But there would be very few if any Senju left after the "death" battle.. So in reality being a good leader Hashirama decided it wasn't worth the loss of his clan just to kill and whipe out the uchiha, therefor a treaty was a better option.

- this is just my take on it, not saying I am right this is just how I fell on the matter. - I just think that Hasirama knew that if they did have a battle to the death between clans that the Senju's strenght over the Uchiha wasn't enouhg for a all out victory and not worth the death toll on his Clan.

Not to be rude, but I dont think u are seeing the big picture here. You worry too much about manga scan and specific quotes too much to the point where it clouds your judgement. You need to be able to perceive the big picture beyond those manga scans. Try to understand the whole "plot" & "theme" of the Manga as a whole. Rivalry is a huge theme here in the manga and If u don't see it, then Idk what's wrong with u. The rivalry between the senju and Uchiha is like an endless war because neither side is superior and non outmatched each other. Or else it wouldn't be considered rivalry, and the senju and naruto would just be superior and no one can challenge them. That'll be boring and would defeat the purpose of the whole manga's story & theme on rivalry. Just cuz hashirama won the last battle doesn't mean he's stronger than madara. They were rival and equal. The battle at the final valley is only one out of the countless battle they've fought. and madara losing that particular battle doesn't make him weaker than hashirama. And since madara was thought to be dead, Hashi was able to claim the title as most powerful cuz no one matches him now. but before that last battle, madara was known as his rival. Madara may have won other battles in the past that might've made hashirama retreated. Since they fought so many battles, its very likely that sometimes hashi won, sometimes madara won. just unfortunate that madara lost in their last battle. but in a way, its a good thing madara lost ,cuz madra was gona destroy the senju/ hidden leaaf if he defeats hashi. and that's no good. So i'm glad hashi won that battle to be honest. im a fan of both senju & uhiha & hashiram and madara. And plus i'm pretty sure that the " will of fire" played a key role in how hashirama managed to kill madara. of the many battles they fought, he couldn't manage to kill madara, but in their last battle, he had to fight for his home, village, family, love ones. The fate of all those ppl were in his hand. hence, the will of fire made him even stronger , and so thats what i think was the key in him winning. That make a lot of sense cuz the will of fire is another theme that's repetitive throughout the story. But back to the topic of rivalry. this generation, naruto and sasuke are rivals. This rivalry themed is repeated so many times. So why can't u see this? and another example is when naruto & sasuke fought at the valley when they were young, technically sasuke won that battle cuz naruto passed out and sasuke was still conscious, but that does NOT mean that naruto is weaker than sasuke. And they still continue to compete as the symbol of the endless rivalry between the senju and Uchiha.

So this it how it works Uchiha = Senju there for if all of the senju fought all of the uchiha they would all die.. then i guess you would have Madara and Hashirama fight at the end since they are the leaders.. and Hashirama beat madara for the spot of 1st hokage.. So again I could be wrong.. that would mean Senju > Uchiha at the "time" since Senju = dead at this point. Only due to Hashirama.. But you can't really say they are exactly "=" otherwise madara and hashirama would of had a dual Hokageship? Am I off basis here?

Exactly!! Itachi is a genius, Plus he had the element of surprise cuz his clan didn't expect to have a traitor from inside the clan. Plus, he killed them duiring their sleep so he had the advamtage. But note that in the manga, it stated that; even with all that, Itachi couldn't take out his entire clan/police force. That's why he had to make a deal with Tobi be make the plan successful. What I'm basically saying is that the Uchiha is a powerful clan and even a genius like Itachi couldn't wipe out the clan on his own.

Hey what's up guys Lately I've started to notice people saying things like "The Uchiha are weak, they got killed by a 13 y/o kid. There may be some prodigies, but the rest of the clan sucks"

Alright, Itachi did kill his clan, but people are forgetting that:

1. Itachi was an extraordinary shinobi, who was widely regarded as a genius, and had even gotten to the rank of an ANBU leader at that time.

2. The Uchiha never expected any of their own to betray them, and were therefore not prepared for an attack from the inside.

3. Itachi killed those people in. their. sleep....at night...ffs​

People often ignore these things, and choose to ignore the fact that Itachi would never have been able to beat the clan if he had attacked them head on.

The Uchiha shared the honor of being one of the two strongest clans, along with the Senju, and the wars between them were always pretty equal, and let's not forget that the Senju had some pretty damn powerful abilities on their own. The Uchiha were discriminated by the Leaf and forced to live all together so an eye could be kept on them, and that was for a reason, the Leaf knew how dangerous the Uchiha were, and what they were capable of doing if they were allowed to do as they pleased.

The Uchiha are far from being weak, and the proof of that is the fact that the two main villains of the series are from the Uchiha clan.

Sorry if you don't agree with me, the sole point of this thread was to try and explain to people that consider the Uchiha to be weaker than the Senju that they are equal, if not stronger.

And yes, I am an Uchiha fanboy, but still, that doesn't change the fact that this thread is just as valid, and the Uchiha are not weak. Quite contrary, they are likely the strongest clan right now, seeing as there were so few Senju left in the world while the Uchiha clan were quite many (until Itachi killed them obviously)

I see what u mean. But u are generalizing right here. Just because hashirama beats madara at one particular battle does not mean Senju>Uchiha. and hashirama wining the hokage election is under the political category, not power. I'm talking about in term of power here. From what ur seeing, ur judging their powers base on each battle's outcome. Uchiha and senju been fighting countless battles throughout their history since the 2 sons of the sage6paths. If u count it that way, then there were definitely times where senju were superior, and there were times where Uchiha were superior as well. it depends on each battle outcomes, one can be in favor of one side, another battle could be in favor of another. but what I'm doing is looking at the big picture here. They have been rivals to each other and non have lost or won "completely." They keep wining and losing to each other throughout their wars. And let's see what the outcome will be this time with sasuke and naruto.
I hope they don't fight each other, I'd personally rather have them be friends in the end, and be the first generation to actually end the eternal senju-Uchiha conflict. Then work together to rebuild and unite their legendary clans.

hehe.. i skip most of the comments.. i agree with the topics.. uchiha clan is superior .. the reasons why they defeated under tachi hands are.. those time there are only two people who has MS.. itachi and sishui.. maybe the attacks to wipe out the uchiha clans is supposed to be done by these two.. but shishui already took his life away.. thats makes itachi left alone to execute it..

dont compare the uchiha ability with the time when itachi wiped them out.. because that time the uchiha clan is in a comfort state.. and they maybe too cocky with their sharingan ability.. they maybe think it is enough to kill konoha with regular sharingan.. or maybe that time normal sharingan will do.. so most of them didn't bother to aim for MS, EMS... but they knew about it.. all the info is in the secret uchia hideout..

but, if most of them already awaken MS at that time.. it would be difficult for itachi to clear them out..

let say, if most of them is MS users.. surely konoha is uchihas town.. and the shinobi world will be in uchiha grasps.. look wahat happen to shinobi world when only 2 uchiha make their moves.. it takes a whole country to counter it.. i wonder what will happen if there are more than 100 uchiha ..

Senju only strong shinobi were Hashi Tobi and Tsuande. their clansmen are all dead

Uchiha Madara Izuna Fugaku Mikoto Obito Itachi Shisui and Sasuke and their clansmen were not weak and they didnt die till Itachi with i believe some genjustsu assistance from obito wiped them out at night in a sneak attack.


Sasuke states that not even Itachi strong and tactical as he may be could have taken out the entire clan and police force by himself and Itachi is like so u figured it out. So

The base uchiha is stronger than the base senju so with Harashima the Senju are = to the Uchiha but if u take out Hashi and Madara then the Uchiha come out as stronger
