Dokkodo is a unique custom style of utilizing natural energy to the user's sword. This of course creates senjutsu kenjutsu. The effects are kind of the same but with this style the techniques has an added effect of shattering a technique. If a technique hits a living being petrification takes three turns to set in.

The style is different for samurai/ronin is they can use all the techniques without the mode. The mode gives them a +10 when using them and Blinding Lights still can't be used without the mode active.

This is basically the gist of the ability, though I'll expand on this. At it's core, it's Kenjutsu infused with Natural Energy to create Senkenjutsu. This is generally gathered in the user's arms and channeled through the blade they wield, releasing it around their bodies and sword to directly enhance it. With this Natural Energy enhancing them, the user becomes capable of using the energy in a few ways. These include the ability to release pure arcs of Natural Energy via sword strikes, shaped projectiles with corporeal form to deal blunt damage, and the more unique abilities attributed to this field alone, such as the Shatterpoint ability as well as the naturally occurring corrosive Natural Energy gained from entering the mood itself.

It's important to point out that this ability, the corrosive chakra of the Dokkodo Mode can only be accessed with the mode active. This sounds common sense but as Ronin and Samurai gain access to the skill naturally, this means these abilities require the actual mode to be obtained and in effect for it to work. In addition to this, much like from the effects of absorbing Natural Energy from Sage Mode users, it has the ability to petrify a target when they are struck by this chakra. This of course is not instant and will be touched upon more later on. This is just to cover the basics/sum of the ability in regards to what's allowed and what can't be done through the ability.

So far, any questions? I'll start with the Mode itself instead of weaker techniques moving down as most require the state to be active first.

Alright so LoK went over what the basic gist of the ability is as a whole, and you say you have no current questions so we'll move on to the actual mode itself. So unliked Sage mode, you'll need a blade in which you'll use as the vessel for the natural energy. You'd gather natural energy into your blade which allows you to enter a unique state known as "The Alone Way". Once in this mode, your face and upper body/arms will be covered in markings that differ from person to person; Along with a shroud of natural energy and a Vizard mask (like bleach. If you don't know, look em up they're dope).

So go ahead and enter this mode yourself, and give me a rundown on the pros and cons of this technique. What does it grant you via physical capabilities (speed, tracking, damage shaving etc.)?

( Dokkōdō ) - The Alone Way
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: Short
Chakra: 40 ( -10 per turn )
Damage: N/A ( +30/40 to Kenjutsu/Taijutsu )
Description: By taking a stance and channeling copious amounts of chakra while drawing in natural energy into their blade, the user enters a swordsmen state known as Dokkodo or the Alone Way. The chakra creates several markings across the user's lower jaw and neck, extending down both arms to fully cover the forearms and arms in scale-like platings as a chakra shroud that grants a large Vizard-like mask across their faces. The general appearance differs from user to user but these traits are shared. After activation, the user gains access to the exclusive art of Senjutsu utilized via Kenjutsu in two unique forms. The first form allows the user's techniques to carry the ability to cause a foe to become petrified 3 turns after being cut, the wound drawing in natural energy and prevents passive healing until healed by outside sources or the target is petrified, whichever comes sooner. The second form allows for techniques to carry the ability to corrode techniques and targets resistances, eating away at natural defenses when striking targets to weaken and prevent natural damage resistances. Should targets be hit by the corrosive Senkenjutsu, they will take the listed damage of the technique. In addition to this, when techniques land, the amount of chakra spent will be deducted from the object's damage resistance capabilities to cause it to plummet ( i.e. if an A rank Kenjutsu was used and lands and the target can shave 20 damage, 15 ( half of 30 chakra ) of it will be removed to leave 5 Damage Shaving ). Should their damage resistance drop to 0, it will remain there until being healed by outside sources.
Note: Can only be used 3 times each battle, each use lasting up to 8 turns. After ending, the user cannot use A rank and above physical techniques ( Tai/Ken, Jutsu with extended/detailed physical movements, etc ) for two turns and the effects of the 20% Torso Health drawbacks trigger. Each subsequent use adds 10% to the Torso Health drawbacks.
Note: Samurai and Ronin are capable of using Dokkodo techniques without entering the state though if they do, they experience a 10 damage increase compared to shinobi using the mode.

Ite so you not even learning the mode.

This first tech is dead ass just a movement technique to let you move how you'd like in a high speed fashion.

( Chiratsuki Kaihi ) - Flicker Evasion
Type: Defensive/Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short - Long
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: A skill usable by all Dokkodo users to move at high speeds to dodge, attack, or defend from techniques. The ability pertains to movement on the battlefield, meaning running, walking, jumping, dashing, etc. This allows the user to move at max speed to avoid obstacles or to attack with great speed.
Note: Can only be used with Dokkodo active. Ronin and Samurai are capable of utilizing outside of the mode but once per turn.

This is a move that allows the Dokkodo users to move fast and evade/avoid obstacles/jutsus. This is perfect for someone like myself who likes to stay in character and use what my character is known for. Renji is my character and of course Bleach is all about fast movements aka Shunpo. Of course this can only be used once per turn which is more then enough.

Okay, so next technique.

( Dokkōdō: Kakusu Shinjitsu ) - The Alone Way: Hidden Truths
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Rank: B - S
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra: 20 - 40
Damage: 40 - 80
Description: This technique is comparable to the Samurai Saber Technique in both its concept and execution. By channeling Senjutsu into the blade, the user becomes capable of creating crescents of natural energy sharpened to slice through metal and bone effortlessly. These crescents are capable of combating equal ranked Elemental Ninjutsu. Unlike Samurai Saber Technique, however, these cannot create chakra weapons to attack with, instead just creating slashes and strikes following the user's strike motion. They crescents can carry the effects of either form of Senkenjutsu.

Pretty simple in both execution and explanation. You simply channel chakra to your blade and create arcs of natural energy. They can travel up to mid range as well. When used, you must specify which form of Senkenjutsu is in use for it to be considered valid. Questions?

Pros: This increases the Taijutsu and Kenjutsu of the user, by 30. Samurai and Ronin increase goes up by 10 making it 40. This grants two forms which are petrified and corrode.

-Petrified: This form takes three turns after the target has been cut. This prevents passive healing during the turns.
-Corrode: This form eats at techniques and targets resistances and eats at natural defenses which weaken and prevents natural damage resistances. It will take half of the chakra used to decrease the amount of damage resistance.

This can be used three times and last eight turns. It is a good amount of chakra used per turn.

Cons: The user can't use anything A rank and above for two turns and has 20% torso is trigger also. Each time the user uses this technique it adds on additional 10% to the torso each time. The longer uses this technique the more chakra is used for this technique which does add up.

No increased speed is stated but the Dokkodo thread say "However, they can not gain any speed nor damage increases associated with this unless it is their Mode. " So I don't know if that was a mistake or it was left out.

Okay, so next technique.

( Dokkōdō: Kakusu Shinjitsu ) - The Alone Way: Hidden Truths

This technique is very simple. I love that it is multi rank. Does this get the boost for kenjutsu from the mode or no since this move can only be used during the mode.

The Speed Chart thread mentions the boost that the mode gets, it's just not written explicitly into the technique since the exact value is in the Speed Chart. And yes, it gets the boost.

( Dokkōdō: Kendangan ) - The Alone Way: Sword Bullet
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Rank: B - S
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra: 20 - 40
Damage: 40 - 80
Description: The user channels Senjutsu chakra to his sword, focusing it into the hilt of the weapon. With this chakra coalescing to form a Senjutsu chakra replica of the hilt, the user causes it to fire off at the target quickly. This was created to disarm opponents by targeting their hands and wrists to strike quickly and cause them to lose grip of their weapon. If successful, this causes the opponent to be unable to utilize their hands for two turns. The user can substitute the chakra hilt for a replica of their sword for higher damage, disabling the use of the targetted limb for twice as long as well.
Note: Can only be used with Dokkodo active. Ronin and Samurai are capable of utilizing outside of the mode.
Note: Sword Replica is an S rank ability and creates up to 5 replicas to send at targets. Can only be done 3 times in total.

This is pretty straightforward and simple. It creates a chakra replica of your hilt that is fired at quick speeds to cause the target to drop held items and be unable to use their hand. Questions?

Nah, Iaido moves at speeds allowing it to intercept ninja of almost any spede. Making that into a projectile shouldnt happen because it becomes undodgable without an extremely high ability or metagaming - and this is something as simple as "this objects travels at speeds equal to that of Iaido".

( Dokkōdō: Shiraha Nagashi ) - The Alone Way: White Blade Flow
Type: Defensive
Rank: A - S
Range: Short
Chakra: 30 - 40
Damage: N/A
Description: After entering Dakkodo, the user aims at incoming targets and slashes at the target with a Senjutsu enhanced melee attack. When the sword makes contact with the target, the released chakra quickly corrodes through the obstacle, weakening by exposing the obstacle's "shatter point". This is a point on the technique that the Senjutsu compromises, causing it to shatter in a glow of white glass-like shards, lending to the technique's name. It is capable of destroying solids and liquids of equal chakra or lower while dispersing energy as well.
Note: Can only be used with Dakkodo active. Ronin and Samurai are capable of utilizing outside of the mode.

This is one of my favorite techniques, pretty simple to use and set up. In your case, you can use it without the mode or with. Once the sword has channeled natural energy around it, you attack a target and release the corrosive chakra through the object to weaken it and cause it to shatter. Any questions?

This is the one I been waiting on. This jutsu is goated. I have no questions on it but the down side I see on this jutsu is I have to be in range of jutsu I'm defending against. But it could be combined with Flicker Evasion right after to close the range with the opponent. I actually just now noticed the range on this technique also.

Yeah, it must be used in short range of a foe or a technique. That's the trade off as you mentioned. Due to the ability to shatter most techs, it had to become ranged in order to allow.

The most important part of the kit, this allows you to actually enter the mode. Visually designed to be like Vizards from Bleach, you gain a chakra shroud as well as a mask. You gain access to two unique forms of Senkenjutsu. Explain them, how they differ and why one would be more useful than the other in certain scenarios and ask any questions you may have.

Corrode would be the best one to use because it takes affect that turn unlike Petrified which takes three turns from the turn the attack lands.

Well, the corrosive aspect is best used against targets with high damage resistance and durability as it continues to eat away at their ability to block damage. I'd use the other one in moments against tough opponents that are hard to defeat, hoping to land the one hit required and go on defense for the next few turns until they are petrified.

( Dokkōdō: Gatotsu ) - The Alone Way: Fang Point
Type: Offensive/Defensive/Supplementary
Rank: A - S
Range: Short - Long
Chakra: 30 - 40
Damage: 60 - 80
Description: The user gathers senjutsu around his sword, creating an extended aura around it that glows a cyan color as the scales around the user's arm extends to the blade. This gives it a harsher texture and weighs the blade, augmenting it with a unique effect. Due to the scales and Senjutsu empowering the blade, strikes that land cover a wider surface and applies the corrosive Senjutsu's effects, deteriorating anything it comes into contact with including sealing scripts and anything else that can interact with Senjutsu. This can even allow him to destroy advanced seals like the Flying Thunder God seal, the Shinigami, and others. In addition to this, should foes be struck with it then their damage resistance will drop by 15 or 20, depending on the rank of this technique used. They will also take damage appropriate to the rank used.
Note: Can only be used with Dakkodo active. Ronin and Samurai can only use if they have Dakkodo as their mode.

This technique definitely needs the mode to be active to utilize. After the mode has been used, the scale like chakra covers the blade and augments it. When contact with sealing scripts have been made, you can use this to cut through it. A rank is capable of cutting through basic seals and normal techniques. S rank allows you to target some advanced seals such as the Reaper Death God by cutting through it or it's attempt to tether to you. I'll make future edits to better clarify the differences. Questions?

1. I'm going back to everything and one question that pops up that's related to Dokkodo as a whole but as a Samurai/Ronin user the petrification and corrosive effects can they be effects added to customs that's can be used outside of Dokkodo? I'm guessing no just because the effects are only brought up during the mode it's self so that's what I am wondering at this point.

2. Also going back to "( Dokkōdō: Shiraha Nagashi ) - The Alone Way: White Blade Flow" could this be combined with the new Kenjutsu speciality that states, "The user’s sword strikes become capable of creating thin blades of chakra that extend up to mid range, increasing the range of any non-Iaido or non projectile Kenjutsu technique." since the technique isn't a Iaidō nor a projectile? Also the jutsu doesn't have a damage why is that when it is corroding something or someone? Now also another thing is does it corrode anything that's the same rank and below or if something thats equal to it just neutralize each without the opponent's technique or body doesn't corrode?

S/N: I just wanted to take some time to go back and make sure there wasn't anything else from the previous techniques that slipped my mind. Also this technique is very unique and opens my eye on how I want to use the mode it's self and create an advanced technology that completely removes the health withdraw from the mode so it's not a downfall normal crutch.

3. I also went and looked at the health drawbacks and it's not really a bad thing. Now of these is what samurais/ronins actually use in combat. They don't use their spit out jutsus, stomach nor lungs to mold their chakra.

20% - An attack causing this amount of damage to the torso will cause the victim's Ninjutsu using the stomach/lungs to mold chakra to cause 5 less damage and their overall tracking will reduce 10.
40% - An attack causing this amount of damage to the torso will cause further trouble with Ninjutsu. The victim will be unable to use jutsu they have to spit out or use their torso to form without causing 10 damage to themselves.

3.5 How long does the effects last? It doesn't have any damage that is taken from the user's health points which makes me think the effects don't last long.

4. Fang Point also has that last note that states Ronin and Samurai must have Dokkodo as their mode but do they have to have the mode activated to use the technique?

5. Activating Dokkodo can it be used to escape genjutsu?

6. With Dokkodo enhancing Taijutsu could we make customs that are Taijutsu orientated?

7. Also I don't see it increases their tracking still want to ask just to make sure I'm not missing anything nor it was forgotten. Does Dokkodo increase their tracking? With the increase of speed by x3 I would assume the tracking would increase also.
