Kata has been shown as a mirror to Luffy this entire arc, is it really so outlandish to you to consider he also has a time restraint built in to his design? Otherwise he'd be an unlimited Luffy and there's only room in this story for 1 unlimited Luffy lol.

I know this is old so dont bother replying lol but I am finding it hard to grasp the concept of someone pushing the other to go all out not equaling strain

if you have to put a shit ton of effort and or techs to put someone down that is someone giving you a hard time regardless if damage is being done to you or not.. you do not have the capabilities of just one shotting them (example doffy vs sanji or smoker).
