Does Shanks remind anyone of Goku?

Whenever I see Shanks his personality reminds me of Goku. He's a kind good-natured simple guy. He loves to party and have fun, but can easily become intense. For example his haki on the sea king as well as most of White Beard's crew when he went to talk to him about Teach and Ace. Maybe it's just me but does Shanks remind anyone else of Goku?

Not really... although I'm just basing myself on looks and on what little I remember of DB from my childhood since I haven't really watched Dragon Ball... but I don't really see them similar physically... maybe in terms of personality is what you meant?
