he still hasnt hit his peak. kakashi in shippuden is significantly stronger than part one that's for sure, he went from being fodderised by akatuski like oro and itachi to competing on a quasi equal footing in the beginning of shippuden, and now with kamui close to perfected he's stronger than any of them bar pain and obito. all he needs to do is gain obito's abilities and he will have reached his prime i think,. atm he's ten to eleven in my list- madara,obito, dsm kabuto, nagato, hashirama, naruto, sasuke, minato and hanzou above him, possibly oro depending on whether you count edo as you own power which I do not.

Kakashi can only become even more powerful after gaining 9 tails chakara. His stamina is still too low, 2-3 kumu's can kill him, his MS is still going blind, he knows how to survive but can't seem to find that 1 BA tech.

Kakashi had a hard enough time locking onto deidara on the clay bird with kamui so how in SO6P's name can he lock onto the fastest shiobi...............so Minato>Kakashi

but kakashi attack is so strong(all ranges kamui) as he has strongest and fastest attack which doesn't move but appear with just look,instant and doesn't take time,no one can counter it ,no defense can defend against it
and kakashi has strong defense too as he can cancel his existence(nearly as ftg's defense) as he can go to the other dimension avoid any attack in high speed
kakashi can affect minato as he can use kmaui on him without he feel and the kamui is instant
if kakashi warped apart of minato's neck(example) as size as nail(that doesn't take any time with kakashi's kamui) minato will die and he won't feel to use ftg to escape from it

About that kakashi vs minato thing, minato is stronger, but not a lot, just a lil bit, kakashi is kage level too.

I think he doesn't need to improve a lot more, most of his abilities are at his peak.

he's one of the best clone's user, he can't improve that a lot more, he even fooled itachi using clones
he has a long arsenal of ninjutsu, but the strongest of them (raikiri, doton wall, water dragon, raiton clone) are at its peak

His kamui can't improve a lot more, he can use 5 kamuis without kurama's chakra, and warp things fast enough to make obito (with MS and rinnengan) didn't see it.

He can warp 2/3 of the hachibi. If he keeps improving in his kamui, he would be too OP, so i think its betterto keep kakashi that way.

don't speak abou the past we all know kakashi improved in his kamui
kakashi warped susano's arrow(so fast object and bigger than human)in no time
kakahsi warped naruto without obito who has sharingan note
kakashi can warp person instant
kakashi need only to warp a part minato's neck as size as nail and he will die (that won't take any time and minato won't feel to use his ftg )
