Does it really matter if a power is borrowed?

Like, some people complain constanly about it, and i pretty much think it's meaningless. So what if EMS is borrowed? Naruto has borrowed powers too, this show wouldn't be the one we know without borrowed powers. The characters are gonna have it till the end, no matter how people complain. Just because someone's powers are borrowed it doesn't mean that character is worse that some other one. People complain way too much about this subject, as if they think they're gonna change something.
Opinions?

I just don't like it when one side says that they don't and says the other side does. they both have them.

Its meaningless. Did you see any Naruto character contemplating if some power is borrowed or stolen?

At the end of the day they have that power, so it really doesn't matter. People just complain to make hypothetical assumptions that X character is better than Y character instead of accepting what is.

Power is power regardless where you get it from so manga and no one cares where you got it from. The point is you have it.

No not particularly. Power is something that one has and utilizes. The acquisition of power is irrelevant when determining the strongest faction on the board.

It's relevance is only necessary when analyzing how power was obtained. Which as noted, doesn't do much in terms of changing the dynamics of a fight. It only can change one's opinions on an individual character's work ethic, morality, or talent based upon how said power is acquired. This also being subjected to an individual's own moral compass, and thus making even this subject to individual opinion.

Conclusion: not really.

Power has been borrowed from the beginning of the series if you really think about it...

Think in Part I, Zabuza.

His sword is an external element that was given to him by somebody or taken for himself (don't know how he actually got the sword or became a mist swordsmen) but take that sword away, and he's majorly powered down.

Naruto got the Kyuubi before Part I, and you would have had to have been a fool to think he wouldn't have been able to control that power even just five years ago reading the manga.

Gaara had borrowed power from Shukaku in Part I.

Kakashi got Obito's Sharingan revealed in Part I.

To some extent, summonings are a "borrowed power". It does take your own chakra as a medium to call forth whatever your summoning, but the summoning does not actually have to help you and can leave at any given moment. The summoning also does not have to do as you say and has it's own free will. Those were revealed in Part I.

Uchiha also have external elements to awaken their Sharingan. What if they never went through a life of tough experiences that opened up their Sharingan?

Naruto got the Kyuubi from his dad, and Sasuke got the EMS from Obito (since Obito saved Itachi's eyes and decided to implant them it counts, what if he decided to NOT implant them? Sasuke would be blind, but Naruto would still have Sage Mode which he earned by himself).

In Part II, Jiraiya was able to use Sage Mode because his summonings (which again, are free willed creatures, fully able to not help him) decided to use Amphibian Sage Technique to help replenish his Sage energy).

Danzo had TONS of borrowed power.

Kabuto is nothing BUT borrowed power.

What I said about the original Sharingan shouldn't be taken to heart, seeing as almost all the Uchiha were ninja, and being a ninja puts you in a life of loss that would trigger at least a basic Sharingan, But other than a select few, what does a basic Sharingan do for anyone anymore?

Evidence also somewhat suggests that Itachi activated his Mangekyo because of Shisui's death, but since Shisui planned his death, that in essence, gave Itachi the Mangekyo.

We could play the borrowed power game all day, but in the end, it's what makes the manga interesting.

Yes it does. It determines how good they actually are.

Do you think Nagato would be anywhere near his level without the Rinnegan?
How about Naruto without the Kyuubi?

Characters with borrowed power may be stronger than those without, but that doesn't make them better. Graft a Laser Cannon on tenten's chest, and she's top 10 material. Doesn't mean she's any better than she was skill wise.

ok if i accept your logic then what madara could be able to do without hashi's cells ?? then madara couldn't be able to awake his rinnegan and couldn't be able to use mokuton and madara could be defeated by 5 kages

No it doesnt matter, chakra itself is borrowed. But if one works to get it its better then one that just gets it handed to him for plot sake.

That's exactly what I'm saying... Madara made it to EMS with his own skill and power. Edo/Current Madara is upgraded by others and is dependent on others' accomplishments. Yes he's powerful, but it's not entirely his skill that made him so.

What matters is that you have the power. Though butthurt fans will always use this as an excuse to downplay a certain character, so their fav will look better ( sausage wankers is who i'm mostly referring to)

Right. Because Naruto fans aren't equally as responsible. I can show you a thread made TODAY where they argue the same.
