There is a reality that Jesus presented us with two laws: love God and love people. It is impossible for a Christian to claim to love you at all if we just leave you to judgement. Even though its "just," love is the greatest of all commands and gifts that God has given us. So why do I care about changing your opinion? Because I love you and care about your eternity. This guy who insulted you is not following Jesus' command and showing you genuine love. I respect your choice to your own belief, but just in case my beliefs are true, I hope that you return to a faith in God.
And I respect you for that... U_U

The idea isn't to force you to believe in anything. But you seem like a nice person. Now since I believe that if you don't accept Jesus Christ as your savior that you burn forever in hell, I'd be kind of a prick of I didn't at least try to get you to believe. That's what all of the preaching missionary work and all that is for. Not just me feeling good about myself and that I accomplished something by converting you and I get extra Jesus points. The goal is for me, you, our friends and our family to all be able to live together forever in happiness. So you can hate me and the others all you want for it. But know we have only your best interest at heart.
You can feel like a prick for the rest of your god filled life(no mean intended) I don't want you to spread your faith to me, only about 1/100 do. So It's not worth your time to go to a hundred doorsteps to convert one person. You can rest assured that everyone else is happy with their beliefs, and if their not. They will go on their OWN to find out what they want to believe in.

Now ima finish my ramen. (Ramen was not in my google crome's dictionary, shame on it)

Edit: For the record I respect everyone else's beliefs if you wanted to believe that god was a flying spaghetti monster, (I'd think you were bonkers) but id respect your belief.

Yes. Im serious, aslong as theres a chance it can happen. If I have a 1*10^999 sided dice and I role the dice, lets say I get 475 firt time, the chance of me rolling the dice and getting that number again is extreamly low due to the amount of sides but it would still be possible wouldnt it? You get it?
Thats true. the problem is that evolution has not proven to be possible yet, haha. Evolutionary biologists are having a tough time showing how it can happen, lol.

I'm not like doing orgys or something, It's just I've had multiple girlfriends in the past (not simultaneusly)... Some of them were important to me, and some of them less. I've also had one-nights, because I was attracted to that girl, and she was to me. It's not more complicated than that... And I do my best to treat people kindly as you say... I don't need a god to tell me to do that, I do it because that's the way I like to live my life... ;)

Allow me to dissagree, at least in the second part... I think you'll see the percentage is 50-50, if you don't count the people that pretend to be good, follow all the rules of the church, but hate people from other religions and would be happy with a new crussade/which hunt... U_U
Eh might be worth studying. Though from my personal experience outside the church(some of my best friends being atheist as well) is that Christians end to be more morally outstanding than the atheist.

So let us say I decide to love another woman, and we clearly both love each other. We are both respectable citizens in that we help the community through volunteering, we practice good values and teach our children (yes I said children) to do the same. We even go the extra mile and decide to help the less fortunate in our community. How is that sinning? WOuld I go to hell because I am a nice person but don't follow god?

I have many questions, which I know can't be answered the way I want them to, but I am willing to discuss. If you feel you can not answer my question with humility, grace, and understanding then I advise you to not answer at all and ignore the question. I am not here to argue with anyone. I just want to see what you have to say.

And to be quite frank, I won't change my mind, as it is already set. So please don't even try in converting me as I will outright ignore you.

Thank you. ♥

no.... i know a lot of christian people who smoke and have *** all the time at the age of 14. in the contrary, people who have been forced and had strict rules to do something for their whole infant years are more likely to do the opposite to rebel because they are tired of it.

Evolution happens like this

Guy lives happily accepting his beliefs, god lover comes to door preaching about god, guy gets angry and grows a resistance to their babble eventually over the course of thousands of years he can't hear them anymore, and he is protected from their babble.

No, but we evolve over the course of thousands of years, do you think early humans were just failed experiments of god? Like the Cromeg, habilis, ect?

I'd disagree. One less person in hell.

And Google Chrome's dictionary can be annoying. I tried spelling nuisance earlier but as nuiscance and it was all like "did you mean: anti-cancer, discordance, noncancerous, or cancerous"? Like come on, how bad of a speller does it think I am?

Natural selection occurs - there is no doubt about that. God created the animals with the ability to adapt to their environments (within reason, obviously - a rabbit dropped into the ocean won't develop gills xd)

Evolution does not occur however. There may be many changes in a species over time, but that species is fundamentally the same. There are too many "leaps" in the theory of evolution. How did mosses "decide" that if they became vascular plants (plants with stalks that can grow vertically) that they could get more sun? Where did the leap in intelligence, self-awareness, and the ability to ponder one's existence occur in the line from monkey's to men?

I've said before and I'll say it again -> the discovery of DNA should have ended the debate forever. The fact that it is literally a "code" should make it obvious that their is a "coder" (Hence there is a branch of scientists that believe in Intelligent Design w/o any set religious beliefs). Random chance MIGHT be able to pull of creating a few proteins, but nothing to be able to create a fully functioning cell. (Besides, where did the proteins come from that "unzip" DNA, translate DNA into RNA, and so on if there had to be DNA to create those proteins? LOL! Endless loop xd)

But I digress.

You missed my entire point. Not trying to convert people is the big one, sooner or later someone is going to get fed up and pop a cap in you. Well if you live in the united states that is, they have more guns per capita then people.

Canada ftw! :izuna:

why not... Modern science can work miracles ^^

Now, the way I see things, being an atheist, is you should just follow your heart... It can never be wrong... Anything is fine, as long as you harm no one, and you are happy! ;)

The thing is even if you did do all of that. More than likely you would have already committed a whole bunch of sins as well(along with homosexuality). So yes you would go to hell. Not because of your sinning but because you sought no forgiveness for the wrong you'd done. And like I said earlier if you don't go to God and ask forgiveness and tell him your sorry for whatever sins you have and will commit then why would you expect forgiveness. It's not just gonna happen you have to admit to God that you have done wrong and ask that he forgive you.
