Does getting braces hurt?

I'm going to lie, they hurt like hell at first, but have Advil, and you'll be fine. It takes about 5-7 days until the pain stops. The pain's like someone constantly pounding your teeh back with a hammer

It doesn't feel comfortable at first...you'll get used to it. And...it will only hurt (actually it just feels tender) for the first few days. My teeth only hurts for two days.

ppl are exagerating it doesnt hur tht much aslong as you dont try to eat anything you have to cheww allot, there not comfertable, but there not verry sore but they are quite painfull, it also depends on how old you are like younger thn 12 souldnt be too bad but older than 14 and it'll probably be quite sore and youll also have them in for longer, it also depends on the type of braces your getting

It doesn't hurt too much getting them put on. However it takes so long that it makes it feel much worse than it is as your constantly on edge.
It then feels like a vice grip for first few days. After that its uncomfortable. Then it is annoying but meh.
After that you don't notice it much, besides having things attached to your teeth and that tasty metallic taste

itle ware of in about a week or soo but you'll have to get them tightend (depending on the tyep) and when you do itll feel prety much like you just got them in again but again itll die down in a week or so

It doesnt hurt that much, if you really want to feel something weird have a hot drink a few hours after there put in, makes them feel like there sliding off.
But dont worry about it, once its done you will think to yourself, "omg what was i so worked up over".

A little bit but just dont think about and you'll be fine, you should be sedated or have your mouth numbed so you should'nt feel a lot of pain.

They clean your teeth insanely good, put some glue on it and the brace piece. Use a gun that uses either infared or Ultraviolet light and it heats your tooth up a bit. The glue dries and they move onto the next one.
Its not bad the first tooth, but when you consider all your teeth it just gets aweful sitting there having them mess with your mouth so long. The proedure isn't too bad though.

The procedure ain't bad, its the tightening :T_T: It hurt so bad when they basically make the already tight metal wires in your mouth even tighter. Aaah it hurts my teeth just remembering! :T_T: Espcially since they do it a few times o.o

Compared to stubbing your toe it will feel like nothing, they dont always let you pick colours first time, i wasnt allowed too... though my dentist did a terrible job...

I didn;t get any pain killers and it still wasn't THAT bad. more of my impatiance and hating staying still
