Actually, some people believe our brains make every decision for us, setting us on a linear path that can't be changed or influenced. Almost like our thoughts and consciousness are separate entities from the decision making part of the brain, simply a spectator on the outside looking in. However, these processes are interconnected; the direction of our thoughts is steered by the uncontrollable and unchangeable decisions that our brain has made on our behalf, not the other way around, where free will exists and our thoughts dictate our actions.
