Does fairy tail pick up?

But im on episode 16 season 1 of fairy tail. And it just seems very childish. I know that there is a lot of shipping witht that show, so Im shock to see it be so juvenile. Does it ever mature up?

It does not mature up because it isn't supposed to be that type of manga. Fairy tail is a simple shounen with your everyday friendship themes, along with some romance and a lot of badly written action and a predictable story-line. That said, judge it for yourself as some do find it entertaining.

It gets better when it reaches episode 27. Thats when the series picks up.

I agree it not Naruto or doesn't have blood and guts all over the place so by NB member standards it's trash.

Aside from the fan service....lots of fan service (that won't ever stop either) it does get better. The current arc is actually a little more serious then previous ones, but Fairy Tail isn't meant to be taken seriously like others would have here.

You just have to stick with it and take it for what it is.

Go for better manga, FT is average at best.

It depends on the taste of people like if you want to see something serious and mature then going for FT is wrong decision but if you want something funny and stuff like I care for my friends then FT is right choice
