Does death awaken the rinnegan

madara states he got the rinnegan just before he died. so my question is does an overwhelming will to live unlock the rinnegan and will naruto somehow be granted it? i'm thinking if he's no match for sasuke when they finally come face to face.

i think he says he got it after he died and also they said that madara was resurrected past he prime, meaning they gave him extra power so the question is was madara given rinnegan as a resurrection power up or is it activated by death in certain ninja?

i can imagine the stone is only a guide. something big still would have been done for him to activate though.

madara said he got it before he died so kabuto didnt give it to him when kabuto said that madara has past his prime he only said that because madara never had the chance to use the rinnegan he was dying, now madara has an healthy body to go with the rinnegan therefore he has past his prime
