Yes, they can see through walls when their eyes are open. They cannot see through their eye lids when closed. Even the mention of that sounds stupid.

why would the eyes power deactivate when closing eyes. That's like saying susano'O would deactivate everytime an uchiha blinked. The veins are a clear sign of activation of the Byakugan, and they remain there, meaning the effect is still going

Everything was good early part I, nobody was OP, both clans (uchiha and hyuga) were kind of even. Taijutsu fights were badass.
Then itachi appears with MS. Everything went down hill from that moment.
Uchiha>Hyuuga with 3 tomoe is canon. How could any Hyuuga even think to stand up to a MS user?
If you don't believe me, why else would the Uchiha clan have been the most powerful clan without any MS user?
And if the Hyuuga can see through their eyelids then they would still succum to gwnjutsu just like bee did with glasses.
