No he doesn't ( This is part 1 and early shippuden Oro), and you can't change that since he openly admitted it.

It's a fact that Uchiha>Hyuuga and Itachi>Orochimaru(part1) so anything else is fan fiction.

I feel like Kishi wanted to do something with them, but as the plot progressed he soon realised that the Hyuuga clan has nothing to do with anything relating to the overall plot.

Letting the SoSPs have a 3rd son with the Byakuugan or something, could have made the clan more relevant that it is.

Neji's death was a huge surprise to me. I thought the development might entail maybe Hiashi's death, and maybe the decision of Hanabi or Hinata taking his place. Now, I'm not sure whats going to happen. I hope there will be some explanation after the war. I'm hoping Neji will get a special funeral ceramony or something too.

OT-No, I don't. Neji was awesome, but sadly he's gone. I don't want a fodder like Hinata becoming the strongest hyuuga....Plus unless you are a senju,uchiha,uzumaki you are essentially fodder.(talking about clans only.)
