[Discussion] Do you think soldiers should be paid more?

There are a few types of special pay like I stated previously, but one job does not pay more than they other. It 100% for a fact pays upon your pay grade.

Soldiers are giving their lifes away simply because of the command of another.

I have nothing against soldiers, and yes, there might be a some who have on their own accords saved a life with their own, but the whole gist of being a soldier is to follow orders handed down from the High ups...Kinda like a gang really...

They are just people looking to devote 4 years of their life to a meaningless and bloody cause that only gets the rich richer and keeps the poor, poor.

They are not heroes, I agree. All they are is minimum wage fcukers working 18k more than slavery.

Yup. Federal careers such as military forces get paid on federal wages, meaning, everyone gets the same pay according to their experience and rank.

Oh and by the way over 50% of businesses fail after their first 4 years), then chances are (very high percentage by the way) that you will work for someone.

Get paid gas? Don't think so. Maybe in Germany or other foreign countries where the prices are so high. Military discounts in some places, but most places also offer student discounts? Why because in those towns their main sources of income would be military or students.

In my country, up until recently, being a solider was mandatory and it didn't pay anything. We had to do it out of our patriotic duty. Those who refused went to jail. It was an interesting experience, but one I don't wish to repeat.

On topic, Soldiers go to the army in the US because they want to. No force is involved anymore. Football is a joke, but like a great man once said, if I'd get thousands paid to play a game I'd never retire. "But they all want you to retire" You said thousands right? Yeah, I think I'm gonna play.


So my opinion is not really to the soldier part and football players do get payed ALOT, however I don't feel like they should get payed any less because money's money and a job is a job. Want more cash? Go play football.
