Are you serious? Orochimaru stopped him and gave Naruto and co. a reason to live. Sasuke was well within the mindset to murder them all, and it was well within his power to.

As for Gaara, A>B>C scenarios don't work in Naruto. Besides the fact that Sasuke had already battled Gaara previously and spent valuable amounts of chakra.

Stop reading selectively, Sasuke meant when he was threat to the world (you know, joining the Akatsuki, killing Danzo, attempt kidnapping of Bee) everyone wanted him dead including Kakashi and Sakura accept Naruto, that's nothing to do with the fight

Plus both were in critical conditions, if either them moved they're dead, staying awake or sleeping doesn't decide anything

This is the closes Naruto fans will get to Naruto beating Sasuke.

People forget the fact that in scenario's Sasuke fans mention, victory was literally in Sasuke hands. Or the loser was just obvious. Sasuke could have killed Naruto at the valley of the end in part 1. Sasuke could have killed Naruto in the beginning of Shippuden if wanted to. Sasuke was obviously better than Naruto in the Academy days.

The final battle, they were both in critical condition. The ending basically turned into a whoever bled out and died first is the loser.
