:flaw:my martial arts skills are still up to date.akido.bushin,ninjutsu, kendo, fencing, karate and taijutsu.yeah i am an expert in them.i really miss the old day sthat i was training as a kid.

i remember the day i use martial arts on the school bully who was picking me.man. did i fight like neji and sasuke or even like guy in street fighter.even though the bully and i ended up at the principal offices with detention for two weeks.at least i got lots of fans from my pals.because not only did i do them a big favour.i even had a hot girlfriend comingto me to teach my some ninjustu ,taijutsu and bushin.i'm not bluffing.it's the gospel truth.anyway i only fight out of honour and not for some crazy reason anymore.

Love it, srsly.
I can remember, when I was a child me, my brother and some friends always wanted to act like them and be able to use those combinations of punches.

Im actually really interested in martial art especially the spiritual/philosophical side of it. Bruce Lee is my absolute idol, Donnie Yen is pretty cool too. Im actually thinking of taking up a martial art..maybe kickboxing, boxing, muay thai or jiu jitsu. From those of you that do practice martial arts, what "style" do you recommend and why?

If you like the spiritual side I would reccomend Qi gong, or tai chi.

If you like the practicality of it (casual self-defence) I would recomend you take an MMA class to give you access to multiple styles. Kickboxing/boxing/muay thai will give you a defence to handle fights. Jiu Jitsu is good for 1v1 fights but if there are multiple people involved, the ground is the last palce you want to be. If you are in north America and want to learn jui jitsu, then try and find a Gracie jui-jitsu center

If you want to be like bruce lee, learn wing chun (kung fu) or Jeet ku do.

Hmm, I think I might learn something practical first so MMA it is then.
Thanks SY!

Eh....Muay Thai kickboxing, American Kickboxing, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu are so mainstream now. Like...ridiculously popular. Nevertheless, I take Muay Thai.

However, it isn't my favorite. I like Aiki Jiu-Jitsu (the martial arts where no matter how big your opponent is that you can turn there own energy against them) and Shinto-ryu Karate better.

I love martial arts ever since I was a little girl mostly because Bruce Lee, if there was a way to bring the dead...Bruce Lee would be the idea sensei for everyone

Even though I'm not a master of martial arts I do use it for self-defense if i get I'm trouble with unwanted males...
