Now a couple of questions before we begin. What is steel release? There are two elements that make up steel, what are they and how did you come to that conclusion, and why do you want to learn steel release, and how do you plan on using it?

Steel release is an advanced natura kekkai genkai shown in that Hiruko movie. Hiruko sucks it out of some unknown Iwagakure? ninja and absorbs it into his body. Makes his body black when he blocked the sword strike from Sai? as well. Officially, it's unknown what two elements, but here on NB we have assumed earth+fire (which I think is a pretty safe guess). Earth because that's where we get all of our metals from in the RW, and fire is added in to "temper" the earth chakra. Basically, you're a badass blacksmith forging weapons from your body or using the ground to create the source. I want to learn steel because, canon-wise, it is defense oriented and that's how I like to fight. That's also how I plan on using it. Attacking with my other elements while using steel as my defensive measure to fall back on. Oh, and i've got some sickly CJ ideas too.

Since there are more techniques now, steel just doesn't revolve around turning your skin black, you can do many other things with it, that will be explained during training.
Another question probably a dumb one at that, when we start going though the techniques, what do you prefer template, or no template?

Now, all I want you to do is try and get your steel chakra in your hand by mixing the two elements, fire and earth. Use detail while explaining, what does the steel chakra make you feel, etc...

I begin by focusing my earth chakra to my left hand, enveloping the hand in an aura of earth. Then I begin mixing fire chakra with the earth chakra in order to find the perfect balance of sturdiness, yet flexibility. I use the earth chakra to coat my hand in a layer of toughness, but use the fire chakra to temper the earth into a more malleable shape. In my head, all I think is hard. I'm so hard right now and it's incredible. Once that is finished, I use nature manipulation in order to convert the basic elemental chakra into a physical state. My hand begins turning grey, and then blacker and blacker as I adjust the ratio.

Sounds good. It's weak to lightning like normal earth but strong to both earth and water. I assume it's neutral to both wind and fire.Alrightly. Though I will ask for at least one advantage and disadvantage.

I focus my chakra into the groud in front of me. I use the earth as my earth source, while tempering the earth with more fire chakra in order to create a harder substance, steel. I then flick my finger upwards, pulling the steel upwards from the ground. I shape the steel into a long, smooth staff that sits head-high on myself.
Good for basic, small to medium sized structures, and basically is only limited by your imagination. But, they're weak so it really won't be usable directly in a high power battle

I focus my chakra intomy left hand. I use earth chakra for rigidity, while tempering the earth with more fire chakra in order to create a harder substance, steel. I then release the chakra, performing both nature/shape manipulation to change it into actual steel in the shape of a flexible, corded net. I launch the net high into the air and watch it fall downwards.
I actually like this one a lot. Pretty useful to trap someone who is already injured, or good for catching small summons and weapons. But, no one is going to let the net on them in the first place so it's a very situational technique.
The next technique I like a lot more. U_U

Once they grab the opponent, the user can clap his hands, forcefully pulling the shackles and chains to the ground, effectively pinning the opponent to the ground, restrained by the steel chains.
Again, just perform the required seals. Start focusing your steel chakra below my clone; and by using shape manipulation on the said ground below create up to five black steel shackles that will grab hold of him and keep him in place, so if you chose to create five, two can on on his legs, two on his arms and one around his neck, but it's all up to the user. You can then clap your hands causing the shackles to pull back forcefully that are attached to chains and ceasing all movement in my clone, so you can use another attack similar in a way to the net.

I focus my chakra and then perform the Bird > Ram hand seals. I then release my chakra into the ground underneath your clone. I use the earth as my earth source, while tempering the earth with more fire chakra in order to create a harder substance, steel. I then raise and shape the steel into five powerful shackles. They clamp around both ankles, both wrists, and the neck. I then clap my hands, pulling the steel downwards through the ground to subdue your clone.
Good for pinning people to the ground, and it comes from underneath so that's a plus. You could restrain multiple people (like clones) in order to attack multiple people at once. Although it weakens each considerably, it may be useful.
That is the end of the C-ranks. ;D When customs come, we'll have to make a thread in the cj section and do it that way. One is a Forbidden rank one, and the other one is a B-rank!

Perform the two seals, start focusing your steel chakra all around your body, and use shape manipulation to turn the chakra into steel bullets, that you will shoot towards my clone, you can shoot up to 12, and you can shoot them all at once, or in a more focused movement, aiming for different body parts. Neat technique, range is great.

I begin by focusing my chakra into my chest area while performing the Bird > Tiger hand seals. I use earth chakra for rigidity, while tempering the earth with more fire chakra in order to create a harder substance, steel. I then puff out my chest for dramatic appeal, and begin. In rapid succession like a machine gun, I release the chakra from my chest while changing it into steel. I release twelve steel bullets in total, which strike into your clone one by one to finally make it poof.
This technique would be sick if it did not require seals. :/ But, it's great because the bullets can be released from anywhere on your body, not just the hands. Reminds me of those finger bullets that the Kaguya have. Range is great too.
Q: Do you know if you can release it like a full body burst? Not as a full body surge, but around the body? Say one from the front, the side, the back, the leg, the arm, all going in different directions?
Well it doesn't say you can't, I believe you can. So yes, I think it is possible.

I was thinking the same thing, but wanted to see if you had a different opinion. You're the sensei now, afterall.
I focus my chakra and then perform the Horse hand seal. I then release my chakra into the ground underneath your clone. I use the earth as my earth source, while tempering the earth with more fire chakra in order to create a harder substance, steel. I then raise the chakra from the ground while transforming it into actual steel and shaping it into a couple spikes. A spike emerges at each of your clone's sides, angled to pierce through his ribcage.
Damn the one hand seal! But also a nice technique to attack multiple people or could be used in a ring formation to create a makeshift barrier to prevent escape above. They also reach nicely into the air which could be useful.

Description: After 3 handseals (Boar+Horse+Tiger), the user will use his chakra to forcefully make a large collection of metal rods to rise from the ground within range. The rods will form a prison around the target, connecting to each other beneath the ground. As soon as all the pillars have risen, which is very fast, their extremities spawn more pillars as well as their sides. As the pillars multiply, they connect to each other, forming an almost perfect prison cell, closed on all sides.
So, I like the name of this one. With this one it creates a prison cell, an almost perfect one of that. I want you to perform the three required seals, and then focus your steel chakra into the ground around my clone in a square shape. As soon as you have completed that, I want you to use shape manipulation on the chakra to create steel rods that rise from the earth and a square shape, and connecting to each other, then rise some pillars from the ground in the same shape; this pillars rise fast, in short the pillars all around my clone will connect and create a prison cell to trap your target in there, could be used with a fire technique, bake them or something along those lines.

I use the earth as my earth source, while tempering the earth with more fire chakra in order to create a harder substance, steel. I create a steel, square base underneath the ground to begin with. Utilizing shape manipulation, I pull the steel up from four different locations and into the air. Once finished, I utilize the length of each rod to "grow" steel appendages, and then form a cubical, interlocking prison of steel to trap your clone within.
Would be nicely paired with that A-rank lava geyser technique or flame pillars. I like how the shape of the cage is not specific, so you could make a prism, cube, etc. Seems like it takes a bit of time to construct so the enemy would see the initial rising of steel and then react then. Any slow moving, smaller summon could be caged as well.
