Do you guys think kisame belong to a shark/fish people clan or something else?

i think all of kisame family memebers where fish people but he killed them all because that is a nature or a newborn shark they kill there elders or some sort of special kekkai genkai because he does have fins or some sort of mutation.

But if I was bring logical I'll say since he summons sharks he went to some shark place to practice sage MODE. He used absorbed too much natural energy and turned into a shark/human. It's just like with the toads. Doubt this happened

I don't think Kishimoto ever expected to go so far into Kisame's clansmen, he originally wanted everyone in Akatsuki to be monsters. Thatf's all I got from it. Fuguki Suikazan is the closest ninja to Kisame's appearance & they aren't related either. I know the shark-like teeth are a Kirigakure thing. His blue skin & gills were never explained....

not the reason for Kisame's looks.

Kabuto summons snakes and doesnt look like a snake (not before he injected Oro's DNA).
Anko summons snakes and doesnt look like a snake.
Same goes for Sasuke.

So having the sumoning contract with an animal is probably not the cause for the looks.

I believe it just has to do with the fact that Kishimoto originally had the idea to make
Akatsuki a group of monsters (he didnt continue that idea). Kisame his design is
probably from that time.

Maybe he uses senjutsu chakra somehow, who knows.
Eating chakra would be an ability of shark senjutsu.

We never said having a contract with the summonings gave you animal characteristics, practicing senjutsu of the respective animal & not perfecting it does. Yes Kabuto, Anko, & Sasuke did indeed summon snakes, but they didn't practice senjutsu well at least Sasuke & Anko didn't. Once Kabuto started practicing senjutsu he began to show it physically.
