It is not animal cruelty, it is just how they eat their food. Torturing the animals and not eating them is cruelty. I see no problem with the way they were eating their food, most of those were dead anyway, feeling nothing.

it would depend on a few factors. If the people are cutting and maiming the animals just for fun, and to see them squirm, then as we are not primative animals and hold ourselves to higher standards, then it is animal cruelty. Basically the only one i had a real problem with was the frog one. It seemed like the person got it just to watch the frog suffer. The fish one, was not cruelty at all, but the way the people were taunting the fish was not right. You can cut off a fishes head, and it will still move and stuff....

So as long as the people are doing it to eat, and to not enjoy the suffering, then it is completly fine. (like a fisher man fillets a fish, the fish is still alive while its flesh is being cut off, but it is being done for the purpose of eating, and not just to watch it suffer.)

The squid is a good example, while it is sad that the squid was cut up the way it was, it was being done for the sole purpose of getting the meats, as fresh as possible, and such. wasnt like the frog where it was done to watch it squirm.

Its sorta like hunting....its fine to go out and hunt animals, but it is wrong to kill them solely for sport(like some people who may shoot a deer and then take its head or something, but not eat the meat.)

If you dont like this then dont be a carnivore, because even the frog one, was nicer that many animals would get in the wild being eaten by some other carnivore.....imagin being like the frog, only your sitting cut in half, slowly disenigrating in some dogs stomach, as after bitting you in half, he swallowed you whole.

Simply while it is very disgusting what these people are doing, in no way is it aThe taunting the fish is sorta borderline, and the frog is barely not cruelty. If any of this were done without the purpose of consumption it would be cruelty.

SIMPLY tortureing animals and killing them for no reason at all, is animal cruelty. While the methods may be cruel in killing sometime, it is not cruelty if the animal is killed for the purpose of being consumed.

It is cruel as ****. Sadly enough, the fish or frog can't strike back. You should kill the animal first, then prep it. These shit headed asians do everything in the opposite way.

So? Oysters get eaten alive too - it's not like they hurt the animals for fun to satisfy their sadistic side. They ate them afterwards. Animals eat living animals as well. People raise animals just to slaughter them afterwards to eat it.

I'm not going to be a hypocrite and suddenly cry about my food. They prepared them with the intent to eat them. Food is food. The meat we eat daily came from animals who most likely lived in shitty conditions and were bred with the sole purpose of being eated by us. I've accepted that a long time ago and don't give a shit anymore.

Either deal with it or become a vegan.

You should see videos on YouTube about people boiling lobsters
People make such big deals because the lobster is boiled alive its pretty annoying

yes it is, no matter how many insults devoid of logic you spew, we westerners kill animals in the most humane way possible, cows for example are just stunned with a stun gun then killed while they're unconscious, that means that they just fall asleep and die while they're sleeping peacefully, eating an animal alive is actually not more humane than that I'm afraid. Just think of this, if you were a criminal waiting to get executed, would you rather be shot in the head/killed with lethal injection OR eaten alive by a giant, from toes to head so that you don't die so quickly? Unless you're a masochist, the answer will be pretty obvious.

Western people eat oysters that are still alive when they land in someone's mouth and lobsters are thrown into boiling hot water when they are also still alive. That's not really the most humane way possible to kill an animal, no? Yet it happens anyway. So both Western and Eastern people eat animals that are still alive at the moment of eating.

I agree but people here were starting to say that we westerners are some sort of demons just because we happen to have meat in our diet.

I wouldn't do it. But I'll admit that it's partially out of disgust (taste), and my own personal morality. I wouldn't be able to eat something that was freshly killed in front of me. I'll happily continue to be the average hypocritical (yet blissfully ignorant) supermarket consumer who buys packaged stuff, though the butcher is the way to go, I just don't want to watch it being done.
