I think Gin had his own goals and the way he went about them was less than perfect. He waited to long to attack Aizen, he shoulda done it at another time. Also he killed a lot of people so... IDK, he had the right idea, but I think he went about it wrong. He also shoulda just told yama and had him kill aizen lol.

To me, he was an anti-hero more than anything else.
ive seen outright supervillains nicer than gin was

More like Itachi. He in my eyes is anti hero.
hes worse than itachi. itachi had least had some delusional loyalty to konoha.

He was perfectly justified in what he did.
so hiyori being cut in half is justified? rukia being mindraped is justified?

The person he cared became a victim, he found out who did that and decided to hunt down the villain.
He abandoned his innocence and sacrificed his soul to "change things."
He disguised himself as a cold blood snake and obtained the key intel to stop the formidable Kyoka Suigetsu.

It's really hard to measure characters' qualities since I haven't lived their lives.
But I can somewhat understand why he did what he did.
In a nutshell, his actions are comprehensible and I like him as a character.
