I don't believe in God, I only believe in things that can be proved. I am a more 'Science' guy, sorry. I think humans use the invention of gods as an excuse to their own limits, whatever they don't know is a proof of God's wisdom. It's like taking the easy way, ignorance on it's highest level, instead of trying to find a real explanation or solution. In my opinion to be a religious person is to be lazy & blind.

Well, that's the point of belief. If everyone knew God exists, you wouldn't believe in him, you would know for a fact that he's real. And no, there's no possible way to disprove God's existence. Even if we discover the entire truth of how the universe came to be and all that, it doesn't prove anything.

OT: No, I don't believe in God. The reason why is because I don't like being resigned to my fate. If you believe in God, you have a destiny, a fate. So whatever you do, that's God's plan. He decides whether you're banished to hell or not, whether you'll become a good person or a serial killer and everything in between.

And not to offend religious people, but I find it stupid to believe in a deity. Religious fanatics disprove of people who don't follow God or "sin" because they have lost their path. They aren't on the right track, they haven't found their path through God. If you don't believe in God, all they do is pity you and think you are a lost soul. Of course, this doesn't apply to everyone.

that's not cool/right but i know what you mean (you should believe what ever you want, if you are not harming anyone).

you know all i care about is the good person in front of me (believer/nonbeliever) doesn't matter really (have many friends from different backgrounds/different views). and if anyone wants to have a conversation about religion, then he should read/understand the other sides background/view (pride aside) and just use logic in a respectful conversation.
and if ended with nothing, then they go on with their lives (nothing changed really) still cool around each other.

This. Also, there is a lack of empirical evidence to show that he does exist. I do believe that there was something that caused the origin of all life, but I highly doubt that it's a deity. There are too many contradicting ideals when it comes to religion and deities in general. I'd rather not let a book or some being no one has ever seen determine my fate. I choose what happens in my life with the actions I make. I'm also more of a person who chooses to find the answers to their questions in science and math. With experimentation, I can prove if something happened and why it did. If he does exist, then "oops". If he doesn't then whatever.
