[Discussion] do you believe in the afterlife?

[Fair Warning]

I would like to wake up in a white room, where anything I imagine appears. And I can change the scenery and do anything I want forever.


But there is also the theory, that when you die, its basically like before you were born. You were technically dead before birth, and you can't remember anything

I follow a religion, so I do believe in the after life, but as for what it is...that's too hard and long to explain.

You can't have any alcohol or drugs in your system to lucid dream. At least in most cases, not saying you do drugs, just stating a fact.

That happens to me when I was little a voice in my dream said "you can choose to wake up or keep dreaming" I chose to wake up, and I did O_O

It's not something you just do. It takes years of practice and concentration. For me it started when I was 11 I realized I was asleep and thought it was interesting. Although the concentration part comes when you're aware you're asleep. Not all lucid dreamers can control their dreams. You have to concentrate and relax at the same time and for me personally, I think of something and it appears. I can create different backgrounds and teleport anywhere or change the entire dream in itself.

I don't drink or do drugs so I guess it helps? I've always lucid dreamed regardless of if I was high on something or not.

Controlling it requires concentration and relaxation. You have to have an absolute understanding of what's going on and you have to think "fly" if you want to fly or "teleport to X location" and you appear there. I always close my eyes, jump, then think fly and I'm flying.

If reincarnation was possible (or something like that, living multiple lives, blahblahblah) then how would you remember remembering?

Think about it like this, this life you're living is your last. Why? Because you remember it. You have lived many lives over the years, and can't remember living one, so if you can remember remembering this life, then obviously there will be no life for you afterwards, or else you'd already be living it. Kind of like when you fall asleep, hours feel like minutes, or seconds. All those lives you lived have gone by so fast, all these thousands of years seem nothing, but you're awake and this is it.

OR

When you die, you'll meet a godlike figure, who will send you back to live every life ever. After living all those lives, you'll achieve your own godlike status and join the society of godlike figures.

yeah mine is a little different and it happens only if my brain catches something that's not normal like if I'm just hanging out with friends and let's say a giant worm starts talking then I'll realize something's wrong and that I'm dreaming but usually it only lasts like 2 min which I guess is pretty long in the dream world xd

Yea there were times i knew i was sleep but i wanna know how to control it so bad and i tried alot!!!!
