Considering the vast and never ending proportions of this universe and the phenomenons that occur beyond our planet (which we have little knowledge of) it would be ignorant to the point of foolishness to completely discard this as a possibility.

Life in the broad aspect of the word as in micro-organisms: yes. I watch a lot of National Geographic programs and they often use examples to make things clear. I remember they once said that even if you take the most pessimistic odds of other life, there still would be at least millions of other planets with life.
Life as in little green men that abduct people and are responsible for building the pyramids: no. I don't exclude that there exists very complicated life, but I don't believe in all those alien theories about abduction and such.

That's completely retarded. An alien, by definition, also means a non-citizen inhabitant of a country. Thus, an American living in France but isn't a citizen is an alien. :|

Apparently there are more galaxies than all the grains of sand in all the beaches of the world, more galaxies than every single thought that every human that has ever lived has ever conjured up.
Apparently humans aren't originally from this planet instead we're a by-product of an asteroid containing microbial life (from an Alien planet) colliding with Earth. And through countless years of evolution we've become the beings we are today.
Apparently humans are to intelligent aliens as chimpanzees/apes are to us. Meaning intelligent life so far outclasses us that it would be nearly impossible to communicate with it on a meaningful level.
the intelligent aliens are probably type II or III civilizations on the Kardashev scale (well that's my guess anyway)

if we do the math.....well its possible but improbable...basically take the number of species we have on earth about 1.8 million multiply that by the chances of earth existing and multiply that by the space earth occupies over the space of the universe then you have your answer......

I believe that out in the deep recesses of our universe, there could exist another intelligent life form, but I doubt that even if it could reach us, that it would want to have anything to do with us. I mean honestly, they could come flying around in the spaceship, somehow beam up a tv. and turn on CNN. And after watching 5 minutes, they would peel out because of the inherent chaos of our lives xd
