Overall, no. I admire some of America's libertarian candidates. It's respectable for a politician to want to decrease government involvement; a refreshing change to combat the pestilence that is is growing ever more tiresome across Europe and America. America's current president is a terrible narcissist. Their main candidates border on fascist and/or communist. Europe has The European People's Party, Party of European Socialists, Labour Party, Christian Democratic parties (just to name a few) that are rapidly trying to undermine individual freedoms and divide wealth. These parties aren't like they once were. It isn't about freedom anymore, it is about repression. I'm well aware of the psychology behind people's gravitation toward communist, fascist, and authoritarian governments, but it is depressing to be older and watch this world changing again (it definitely goes through cycles every few generations). There are more and more young people starting to fight it, but well see what happens.
