Do we need metal detectors in movie theaters ?

ofcourse you should have metal detectors, and guards as well. in my country (in constant danger of terrorism) you cannot enter a mall without going through a metal detector and have a guard look through your bags. same with schools, parking lots and other high density areas.

before 9/11 you didn't have to go through metal detecors or guards in airports in the united states, then it happened and security went up dramatically and there was nothing as serious ever again. are you going to wait until someone blows up a movie theater to do something about it?

I don't think they need them. After the incident each amc has given employees special training incase of something like this.

Not to mention now actual cops are at the movie theatres.

It does help.metal detectors are in entrances of theoters and malls in my country though people still get shot,stabbed or ran over get raped outside :|
