This is the scene in my head:
1)Kabuto is on the ground while itachi and sasuke r walking away due to ending edo tensei and somehow itachi found a way to delete all edos but himself and knowing the hardships kabuto has faced in his life span they decided not to end his life
2) kabuto says he is the most powerful no one shall turn his back on him
3) Itachi and sasuke turn then......DOUBLE AMATERASU

When going Against Itachi, who for the better part of his defended the leaf village ( in secret) and Izanami, yea he's done. Kabuto is only just playing out a dream. Itachi forsaw all this was preparied to handle it liked a gangsta.

things might also end up differently from what i last posted.

For example when itachi told kabuto that kabuto is the one who is controlling his own fate he meant:
Kabuto can get out of izanami on one condition which i really doubt kabuto would be able to realize till the time he dies and it is: Realizing his true self. if kabuto was able to realize his true self he will break out of it.

Most likely this can be the scene for this idea:

1) kabuto cannot escape izanami cuz he cant find his true self

2) After itachi releases all edos except for madara cuz he just too powerful, itachi kill him before he 2 dies

3) just before he dies kabuto realizes his true self and thanks itachi.

Kabuto may have something planned but where talking about itatchi the guy who at the age of thirteen joined the anbu who also holds close to the same knowledge of the of the uchia clans history as madaran and the only way Kabuto would be able to escape is if he could somehow find a way to get itatchis hand off of his head cuz itatchis controlling the jutsu through his hands not through his eyes this time
