I don't want to believe Kabuto would lose this easily and release Edo Tensei.

Come on, that would mean Madara would disappear in the middle of his epic fight with the Five Kage, and that would be complete bullshit, seeing as he hasn't killed any of the Kage yet and I want at least one of them to die, dammit! D:<

'Sides, Kabuto is an ingenious bastard and like Itachi said, every jutsu has it's weakness. We'll have to wait and see what happens :3

Madara Isnt gone for good he'll be back... i made a thread stating my theory about it.
Kabuto wont die too... he will just release Edo and fight Sasuke once Itachi is gone... we get to see if his EMS lives up to the hype.

If your only concern is "losing" madara, peace be still. Madara will be back if the Edo Tensei is released. Remember back to when Edo Madara was first resurrected. He said he expected Nagato to have something to do with his resurrection, most likely by the Rinnegan. He NEVER expected to be resurrected by Edo Tensei. So once Itachi releases the Edo, I'm sure that Tobi has a way to resurrect Madara again Via Rinnegan, which was probably the original plan once the Rinnegan was awoken by Nagato.

And lets not forget, spores of Zetsu (that saved Sasuke) are on Kabuto now. Tobi might decide to save Kabuto if it furthers his plans. Kabuto may also summon Edo Madara to his location to fight the brothers while he is trapped... OR maybe this is paving the way for Orochimaru's return. He emerged from Sasuke when we all thought he was dead before, don't count out the most sinister foe of Narutoverse!!!

Muu for a fact did not Third party edo Madara... he only Summon the coffin to the battle field. I have also explained this with proof in a previous thread.

what if kabuto decides to kill himself knowing that edo will go on if he dies, but before he does it, he tells madara to revive him with the renningan. That way edo stays active, and kabuto dies, thus breaking the Izanami, and get revived by madara?

It has probably been said in this thread already but Kabuto won't die by izanami, why?

1. He has Black zetsu spores on him (unresolved plot point)
2. He still hasn't used Sasuke's abilities (unresolved plot point)

Remember in kabuto's flashback it cycled through all the people he had transplanted, Sasuke was one of them. Kabuto still hasn't shown a sasuke ability yet, and that might be the key to stoppping izanami, maybe a reverse izanami.

I don't think he'll lose. Throughout this entire fight I've maintained faith in Kabuto, from a realistic standpoint Itachi winning is ridiculous.

However I've lost then proceeded to near immediately regain faith in him about 5 times throughout the fight.

It's clear to me there's no way Kabuto will lose but knowing Kishi he's unpredictable, he has to try and please all fans and whatnot. If Kabuto does lose it will be an extremely retarded move but you can never know for sure.
