Do you think the man needs to pay the woman child support if they have equal custody? Mind you the man is a hard working factory worker, has done nothing wrong, does not want the divorce, and does not want to pay the wife child support. The woman wants to get child support, half of everything, and full custody. In my opinion, the man should not have to pay child support. Equal rights ring a bell? Is it a curse to have a penis or something? The woman can pay for things just like a man can. But that is in my opinion.

If someone is being told to pay child support it usually means that there credibility is shot
Yes,many people abuse that system to obtain money for themselves,however since a child is involved with holding money only potentially hurts the child.

Im speaking as a girl here: I agree with you that she should try having a job which would allow her to support her child, however, it kinda seems unfear if, for example, she gains the custody of the child and throw that point on she has to raise him/her all by her self... Because there were needed 2 do "do it", for some reason, the nature works that way.... And why are you complaining about having to give a hand on supporting your child? It's exacly people like you that I don't understand... It even looks like you hate the kid and that you are turning all your hate of the world towards him... Just help a little bit and make the kid have a smile in the end of the day...

We are not talking about alimony or the outcome of the divorce. This is about the child. Since the father wishes to have shared custody, he must pay something for the child.
If they were still married, he would still pay for his child. Why does this has to change with the divorce?
Getting divorce doesn't mean that you stop being a parent. They both should support economical, and in others ways of course, the child.

This really comes down to the particulars of the case. What was the cause of the divorce? Was violation of trust involved? Not wanting a divorce is not sufficient grounds to prevent it if things like infidelity, abuse, etc. are involved. If these things are involved a 50/50 custody split may occur but child support will probably be part of the divorce and the party that is deemed to have violated the trust of the other party will probably end up paying it.

The Father wants custody of the kids. The women wants custody mainly for the child support. 10% of men get custody of their children because of women wanting them and playing the gender card.

If the two parties can't compromise, a settlement can't be agreed on... and the divorce is a no-go.

But really, I think both parties are under equal discretion. It's up to the lawyers at this point, unless there are extraneous details that aren't known or willing to be shared.

Divorce is bad enough for any kids involved without extra fighting about money. I agree that the laws are not fair - they're just designed to process people through in a hurry. The losers are usually the kids and the parent who didn't want the divorce in the first place.
