It's an awesome film that takes you for a wild ride. If you don't know much about the plot lines then you'll be looking like this by the time the film ends. I just wish I didn't learn too much of the movie and a troll on another forum did spoil the film for me but nevertheless it's my favorite movie of 2009.

I was somewhat disapointed by it. I thought it was gonna be a thriller action packed sci fi movie. But it was one of those movies that try to teach you something morally rather than entertaining you.

I get the message they were trying to sell but i think it was stupid to use aliens. If ever things like that came to earth i wouldnt mind get me a giant bug spray and so wouldnt a lot of people. Also that dude that turned into an alien is a idiot. Now the aliens are gonna come back and destroy earth.

I guess marketing worked very well lol but surely the third act would have provided the 'thriller action packed sci fi movie' part. For me though, the premise of Aliens being 'stuck' on earth and humans being the oppressors was what attracted me to the movie and of course the use of documentary style throughout the film helped immersed us into this alternative reality.

Well people were being fed up with alien presence after being there for so long but you have to remember that the whole world would've been watching Johannesburg so they had to tread carefully. That's what I liked about the ending because it's pretty open and the people in the 'interviews' do address that.
