the episode was great but i think they are rushing the story a bitU_U
Hmmm a bit, but I only find this love-triangle quite fast. Most of us probably saw it coming, but it really came quite fast. Of course the amount of planned episodes is limited, so they can't start building it up at the same speed as in The Last Airbender.

I watched the episode today, but like all the other episodes I just can't get into it. The animation is beautiful, but the characters and plot don't do it for me.

I did think it was funny when Korra blurted out that she liked that guy, though. It shows that even she has a "soft side".
That's a bit too harsh. The animation is just awesome, but I both like the plot and the characters. Yes the plot goes quite fast, but I still like it. The biggest problem here is to avoid repetition, but on the other side if there is nothing that reminds you of the original series, you can loose interest too, so they have to find something in between.

So I love the idea of air-bending problem as it was something that was already present in the original series, but it was never solved. It was on the back of our minds, but it didn't had any relevance to the war itself. So it remained an unsolved problem and now they continue with that. I also love the conflict between benders and non-benders, it's clearly still the same world, but as time passes, the contents of the world changes too. As someone who studies history, I really like it how they show new times, new problems, but still the same world.

Same with the characters. One one hand they are similar, on the other hand they are completely different. While again was always quite humble of being the Avatar and avoiding physical conflict, Korra is very straightforward about it. But both of them really have that mischievous side. Same with Boling and Sokka. They both bring a comic relieve, but still they have quite the different personalities. I really don't want to get something like in Pokémon where they have extremely stereotypical characters and a repetitive plot.

Maybe you all have already read it
Interesting read, though too short.

I feel bad for Bolin.. Next episode will be ''And the winner is..''

Where is my Amon??
I would guess the finals of the pro-bending tournament.

Lol, was bolin drunk? He looked hammered when Mako went and got him from the shop.

One thing I have found interesting so far is that advanced bending natures seem to be the norm now. Earth bender seem to be metal bending, firebenders shooting lightning. One thing that came to my mind was why hasn't anyone change the state of water to ice? Korra could just use and ice shield for pro bending which would easily block most incoming projectiles.

i think they have to stick stirctly to normal earth, fire and water

you don't see mako using lighting in any of his macths do you? yet it would come in handy in a real macth so its proabaly just a rule that you can't use advanded bending styles.

Well I have elaborated already enough on the frequent use of lightning and metal in the previous episode discussion threads and why that is, so I'm not going to repeat myself again. If you still want to know, read my posts in the discussion threads of episode 3 & 4. In the least metalbending is restricted to the metalbending corps as Bolin hasn't shown any kind of metalbending, so it's still a skill restricted to a few elite.

And yes Bolin was drunk, and so was Pabu <3 sooooooooo cute kawai xd

Yeah, I was assuming that too.

the show is planned to be 26 episodes but there's a chance that they'll make more episodes. (unofficial. I've read this before the series began)

there are some rules in the pro-bending game.

waterbenders can't use ice, or evaporate the water. they cannot hold water for more than a second. in other words they can't use techniques like katara's octopus thing.
firebenders can't use lightning, can't hold the fire for more than a second and can't attack directly to the face.
earthbenders, can't use sand bending, metal bending.
this is from avatarwikia so once again it's unofficial. since wikia changes it everyday.

well, the story does progress quickly but I think that's how it should be. if there will be more episodes than 26 they should find a new plot because if not they'll make unnecessary episodes.

about the love triangle. Korra screwed really bad. she did the worst move she could've ever done. I felt really sorry for bolin.

though the best thing about this episode was the matches. mako was pretty much useless in both of them and I liked it U_U. he too should be making mistakes.
the first match, bolin did almost everything. and he was pretty cool. he acted like a true boss :D.
the second match was a mess the only thing was korra's "hat-trick" which was pretty amazing and lucky at the same time. though it could've been a lot better if we could saw the fight some more instead of jut the beginning and the final blows

now all three have proved their abilities. final match should be epic.

Korra and the Fire Ferrets prepare for the pro-bending championship as a threat looms over the arena.
That's the description of the next episode. I searched a bit on YT to find the trailer for the next episode (normally they always give a small trailer for the next week). I didn't find a real trailer, though somehow there are a few images released which shows Amon invading the finals and taking the bending away from one particular person... >.>

For an episode centered partly around relationship drama, it was better then expected. Thanks to the characters, especially Bolin, they kept things from becoming to serious. And the probending side was great.

Good episode but not as good as the others so far. A lot of the romance stuff so-so, and I'm glad both it and pro bending are coming to an end. They both run the risk of growing old. The main upshot was the conclusion, everything is out in the open, and despite it and all the confusion and hurt the trio put each other through, they are still friends. I have a feeling that any further romantic developments will feel more genuine and natural, now that a solid foundation has been established.

This episode wasn't the best because it was really all about romance and stuff. It was good for character-development though.

But, the next episode is going to epic, Amon interrupting the tournament and making his speech. Looking forward to that.

I believe that's one part. Here's another.

I think it's the Krew (hey, it's Tumblr making the names, not me, besides Nick has already adopted the names Makorra and Borra  ) getting approval from the Council to go chase Amon.
