I like it, it's a better quality then the previous episodes, I'm halfway there, but when Assami hit Mako with the scooter, she seemed extremely suspicious to me when she turned back and looked at him..

so we saw the visions of sokka, toph and aang and another person, eyes only (might be amon himself), thanks to amon's energybending.

I get the feeling amon knows the old group, and he knows them well.

Wooooot! At the end an adult Sokka, Toph and Aang! It has been proven now that it's clearly Aang with a beard in the opening U_U that will shut the Avatar wikia's admins up xd
aang in the opening has beard? :|

edit:
I checked and it seems he has. nice catch mate

Aang with a beard FTW.

I loved seeing them older. I can't wait to get morr flashbacks of them.

The sudden Mako x Asami is random, but we'll see where that goes. Bolin's awesome. It was a great episode that is a good build up one for the later episodes. I loved it.

Seeing Aang, Sokka, and Toph make this episode a automatic 5. It was great seeing them again especially Aang.

Amon is also an awesome villain. I just loved the way he intimidated Korra like that.

oMG!!if ang is the amon i am so....shit!!!shit!!!
aang can't be amon. he's certainly dead. if he were to be still alive korra wouldn't be there bending 3 elements.

the only for him to be aang is him being resurrected after his death and somehow he wants to get rid oof benders.

but that would suck so hard.

yup xd but i have feeling they'll say well the cloths he's wearing aren't te same as the one in the opening at which point i will virtually b**** slap them U_U

Any way my theory Amon is eiether the guy whom aang beat back for revenge after aang stole his bending ( as aang wouldn't kill him) and hides behind the mask becaiuse maybe zuko burned him? or he is that guy that aang foughts son and zuko killed his dad and almost killed his son.

another theory i have is this guy that aang fought might have killed sokka and toph and aang towards the end of their fight would make sense why they appear they had something to do with the fight with that guy and amon is somehow connected to that guy.

The reference council member Tarrlok made to a similar situation 42 years ago with a guy named Yukone seems very promising, especially if the flashback of Korra was about that.

Based on the title of the next chapter, The Spirit of Competition, it seems to go about pro-bending :)

Dunno if I'm looking into this too much, and I realize that it's just a phrase, but with the last chapter I don't think that it would be too far-fetched for the "Spirit" part of the title to refer to Korra having her first spirit world experience. Though it's probably too early for her to actually speak with Aang or another avatar. I mean, pro-bending is cool and all, but I highly doubt that there will be any episode just about the sport.

Anyway, I'm loving Amon's character right now. Calculated, indefinitely skilled, and he's mysterious but has no problem making his presence known. I dunno whether or not this series will be better than Avatar, but I have almost no doubt that Amon will be a much better villain than Ozai. I mean, we only really saw anything from him in the season finale, the Day of Black Sun, and a few bits here and there in Zuko flashbacks.

As for his identity... personally I'm not sure if he lied about his history, in which case he would have to be someone that we never knew before. I mean, I get that spreading propaganda is probably his biggest weapon, but... I dunno. In the case that he did lie there are still doubts. Just because his face is hidden doesn't mean that he's someone we already know. There are logical reasons. He needs to make himself known as leader without ever risking getting caught. My guess is that we'll meet Amon at some point and have no inkling that it's him. He'll act like a completely different person, have an entirely different identity and there won't be the slightest allusion to it being him. No one, not even his most trusted Equalists, will know who he is to assure that there is no risk. And gradually we'll get small hints that he is part of the Equalist movement, leading to him being revealed. It seems like the most plausible thing to me.

I really like where this series is going. So my prediction is that Amon was the one that attack the city 50 or so years ago. The fact that tenzen even brought it up in the councel meeting suggests that the detail is important. Tenzen also says that aang beat him, which could also mean that aang's group beat him. The flashbacks to me kind of looked like a trail. Maybe once the group defeated him, Amon was put on trial and than sent somewhere. If he managed to escape he would have a grudge against the avatar and benders thus why he is doing what he is doing.

I think the new girl on the scooter is suspicious. You don't just randomly sponsor someone. What if the point of sponsoring them was to get the fire ferrets to the finals. If Amon happened to be planted in the crowd or the opposition team, he could take away her bending in front of all those benders. It would be the perfect place to do it.

Well there is certainly a certain connection with what happened 42 years ago, but I have my doubts about whether it's the same person because that would mean he must be over 60 years old by now.

And the background and the art concept of that girl was already introduced druing the San Diego conference where they gave information about the major characters and plot of Legend of Korra, so I don't really think you should find anything sinister behind her intentions.

I thought so too..it's just too sudden that she's getting all attached to him..idk why but I have a feeling she's working with the bad guy..and has the ability to stop bending for a short period of time like ty lee's technique. (I just see her as that type of girl lol)
My theory is that she will try to separate the group somehow. She's up to no good.

it made my dag too..I watched it online b/c I missed it..anyways o-o epic..I replayed the 4secs they appear like 4 times to fully see them xd

Same here..it would ruin the story if aang is the villain..The whole cartoon will be O_O..:|
I doubt it U_U aang would never do such thing. He couldn't kill the fire lord..who was a terrible villain, how can he do this to innocent ppl? so not a chance but if so then O_O..duf..lol

Anyways, I cant wait for the next episode.
