Orochimaru vs Jiraiya

I've been wanting to make this thread for a long time, but i know how much a lot of people hate this type of thread, so i kept putting it off. But I've decided to finally do to get everyone else's opinion of this rivalry that has dated back to the beginning of Naruto. Before you post or even think of posting in this thread, think about everything and give reasons for your view.
First i'm going to break in down to see which abilities the both of them have and compare them.
Summonings
Both Jiraiya and Orochimaru both have their own unique summonings with unique abilities, that seem totally different. Jiraiya has the toad contract that seems to be a peaceful summon that is one with nature where as Orochimaru has the snake contract which seems sinister and evil.
Toads - The toad have many different abilities such as using wind, water and fire. And they can also use oil attacks which have been seen in many battles. For example, when Jiraiya fought Orochimaru, they used a fire oil combo on Manda which was quite effective. The toads also have the power of Senjutsu techniques which shall be discussed later. The toads have an advantage over snakes as they actually have limbs and can wield weapons such as swords.
Snakes - Snakes have been seen to show a variety of different abilities which Orochimaru learnt to use to his advantage. An example of this is how he instil fear into an opponent to trap them and stop them from moving, as see in the forest of death. Another great advantage are his jutsu like his Oral Rebirth technique, which seems just like when a snake sheds it's skin, giving Orochimaru multiple lives.
Both summoning contracts have great advantages and rather large summons, as seen on various occasions.
Elements
The next thing we need to look at is the different elements that Orochimaru and Jiraiya can use, and compare them:
Jiraiya - Earth, fire
Orochimaru - wind, earth.
These are the elements that they have shown to have used on different occasions. But here we see that Jiraiya has the advantage, as his fight element has the elemental strength over Orochimaru's wind jutsu.
Special Abilities
Ok, both characters have a hell of alot of unique techniques that can be very useful, in both ways:
Jiraiya:
- Hair jutsu - these have numerous abilities such as firing weapons at the opponent, making a good defence against taijutsu attacks and even binding the opponent
- Sealing techniques - Jiraiya has been show show great skill with fuuinjutsu such as when he was able to seal Amaterasu or when he fixed naruto's seal on his stomach, or his barrier dome to sense enemies he couldn't even see.
- Sage arts - This has been show to be one of the most effective combat styles in the entire series. There are many useful techniques such as his giant rasengan, or combinations with Ma and Pa making it deadly. With this Jiraiya was able to kill 3 paths of pain at once and even kill another path when he had lost his arm.
Orochimaru
Other facts
For this comparison, we will assume that Orochimaru is able to use his arms and that they are both at their best.
We have seen a couple of encounters mentioned over the series to give some indication of who is stronger.
First off, was the fact that Jiraiya was unable to get Orochimaru to stay in the village, i can't remember if they fought but if they did, jiraiya lost as Oro still left. This would suggest Jiraiya is stronger.
Second off, when the 3 sannin fought, though it was a 2 vs 1, several of them were handicapped. Orochimaru couldn't use his arms but, and was fighting just Jiraiya for one part, but Jiraiya could only use 10% of his chakra. But with 10% of his chakra he was still able to make a giant swamp and do some great fighting.
Third off, Orochimaru and Jiraiya have both had encounters with naruto in his 4 tailed fox mode. Orochimaru didn't have his arms at the time and had to keep using his oral rebirth and had no real way of stopping naruto. Where as jiraiya had his special seal, but jiraiya wasn't trying to hurt naruto, just help him regain control of himself where as orochimaru was going for the kill.
There are many other things we could look at that you guys can mention but this is alls i can be bothered to type.
My conclusion
Taking all of this into consideration, i believe that in the end Jiraiya would win in sage mode fighting Orochimaru's hydra mode thing. And in the end i think Jiraiya would win with a sage tech or the toads sage song. But this is my opinion and i think it would be a close fight. I think jiraiya could stop the edo tensei by turning the opponents into a frog or sealing them in a toad.
I wanted to make this thread properly, but i got lazy as i went along, so what do you guys think?
