Discussion: How do you think Sakura will handle the news of Tsunade being dead?

Here's hoping this isn't like the Pain arc where Shizune and Kakashi got killed, then Kishi drew on his dbz inspiration and revived them.

Seriously though I see this as a wonderful way to push Sakura's development up a few notches to match Sasuke and Naruto's. Team 7= Tsunade's team in their paths and Tsunade did come into her own during the 2nd Ninja War. It wouldn't be too much of a stretch for her to play a huge role in the outcome. She wouldn't be placed on Naruto and Sasuke's team and walk the paths of their teachers for no reason.

Well i hate the idea of her death especially at such a time. However, its a possible option. I think Shizune will be the most devastated character for Tsunade's death. I mean she broke down in tears when Tsunade just woke up from the comma. So the idea of her death will probably destroy her. For Sakura, i think she will be sad but she will promise to protect her friends and follow her master's path.

I don't agree with what most of you are saying here ..

you can not compare the relationship between Naruto - Jiraiya with that between Sakura and Tsunade .

I agree with Chatte , Sakura's and Tsunade's relationship is just respect from a student to her master ..while Naruto's and Jiraiya's is far more complex than that , Jiraiya was the Itachi for Naruto , Jiraiya was like the father that Naruto never had .

frankly if you are talking about someone that will be affected emotionally by Tsunade's death ..it would be Shizune , not Sakura .

Since i know kishimoto very well and i agreed, that this is the time that kishimoto can give sakura a power up, sign up contract with slug, sennin mode or whatever, but knowing kishi it might not happen, i see more possible that naruto will turn into Saiyan 3 than sakura getting some grow up.

Sakura crying is a 100%, after that, what might happen?

Maybe tsunage's death bring sakura into senses and make her realize that it might happen the same to naruto, made up her mind and reconize naruto before is to late.

or just go and die.

in my case, only tsunade or any kage death might keep me from reading this Fairy Tale.

I hope she gets very mad and does what Naruto did. Naruto, after becoming sage, destroyed Pain (he let Nagato live though which was cool). Alot of people will want to slay me for it but imagine the faces of all the Sakura haters when Sakura runs off and kills Madara or at least helps Naruto, Kakashi, Bee and Guy to do it. They really need a healer in their group and maybe that will be her role?

But to be honest, we will not even see a reaction. Kishi will just fully stop showing her and the other K11 teens.

I think Kishimoto-sensei forgot her so easily because Naruto and Sasuke remind him of himself and his friend while Sakura ... Is she actually based on someone he knows? Because I can't remember if I ever read something about that.

Anyway, she would indeed need to get stronger than Tsunade if she ever wants to be on par with Sasuke and Naruto, but those two are getting ridiculously overpowered. They both surpassed their teachers already and at the end of the story they'll probably be the two strongest shinobi if they keep getting power ups like that. Sakura needs one hell of a power up to be able to even reach them.

Her best option would be to specialize in healing because she seems to have a skill in that, as shown by her developing an antidote for Sasori's poison. Naruto represents Jiraiya, Sasuke represents to an extent Orochimaru, so it would be nice if Sakura represents Tsunade. At this point in the story, she's not quite there yet but hopefully in the end, she will manage to surpass her teacher.
She could do it, but that will require a lot of studying of her and a lot of training.

I'm of the opinion that even if you don't like certain characters, you still need to be realistic and acknowledge them for how they really are and not mindlessly bash them. Like, I think of Orochimaru as a freaky leech, but I can admit that he's an opponent to fear. Sorry for the bit off topic ^^;

Well, to be honest, I don't see Sakura becoming a second Obito, but in the end who knows what Kishi is thinking, lol.
It would be nice to see her on pair with those two, I agree, at the end they will be the most powerful shinobis because that's where the story is heading to, but it would be nice to see Sakura up there too.
As you'e said, she can become a healing specialist and the whole time and studying wouldn't take that much for her, as I've previously stated, because Kishi portrayed her as a fast learner so that would be a worry in minus for Kishimoto, hehe.
And her biggest potential would be to be a mixture of healer (as powerful as Tsunade) plus the genjutsu affinity that Kishi made her have. I mean, imagine her to have all the feats of Tsunade and besides that, to put her enemies in genjutsu. She can afterwards, attack them at will.
But in the end it's just a scenario.
It's a shame because with her things can be done easily, you only have to give her a little bit of a screen-time.
It's ok for the off-topic, I don't mind. It's still related to the base of the subject we're discussing. ^^

Like others have said, if Tsunade dies, it will give sakura the inscentive to take her place. The only medical shinobi even remotely near her level are Sakura and Shizune so it would be one of these two's job to carry on her legacy. Now people can bash Tsunade all they want, but if Sakura managed to get the kind of power and medical expertise Tsunade had or even surpassed that, she would easily be able to role with the big boys. One punch is TKO for anyone that decides they can tank it. Sakura would really be over powered if she used her skills in smarter ways then Tsunade. Super Strength goes a long way if used right.

I only hope for that, IF Tsunade dies. The power, she has it. Of course it isn't at the same level of Tsunade because Tsunade has the immense power as a base, given her lineage, but Sakura's pretty strong herself as she is now. We've seen that one blow of her can kill you in an instant. I remember that lady that used genjutsu on her and given Sakura's affinity for genjutsu she was able to notice that, find that lady and kill her in one punch that destroyed a good portion of a forest. So, powerful, she is. And the medical skills are pretty good as well, she just needs to concentrate more on the regenerative part, as Tsunade does.

As I said it, those medical skills + genjutsu would make her a hell of a bad-ass character.
But in the end is Kishimoto's decision...

There would be no time for mourning during the war. She will be sad, but then get over it.

Have to agree with it, no time for mourning because it's a war, but I think that her master's death will always remain somewhere in the back of her mind, like it happens with Naruto, too.

She'll use drugs to overcome her pain but takes an overdosis and dies. And that will lead us to WHAT WILL NARUTO DO WHEN HE HEARS THAT SAKURA DIED?. I can give you an answer to that aswell. He'll say to Madara that he can take the kyubi and kill him because the one he cared about died. I so wish this would all happen but i doubt it...

It's "Shannaroo" but it's ok.
Indeed, in war there's no time for showing emotions but that's why I was curious because Sakura is the character who is put there to show emotions in a world where you are supposed to be a machine.
Hopefully, Kishi will make her do something important this time.

well, lets find out if she actually dies first....if so then yes id assume she would handle it like naruto handled his masters passing....but im to assume that she is going to use all her remaining life force to revive the other kage and she in turn will die...maybe who knows...maybe she'll be revived? Maybe madara will summon perfect susano with blueberry pancakes to revive some amazing power....who knows..(joking)

Well, I find this funny, but it's curious how everyone called Tsunade flat chested as well and in time she grew the biggest boobs around. Maybe that's what will happen with Sakura? xd

I wanna see Sakura get mad! I mean really mad! Go ape sh#t on someone. This would probably never happen, but it would be nice if she did something useful. She hasn't had much screen time since her fight with Sasori, sadly I think she's too underdeveloped at this point to be useful against someone like Madara or Obito, but you never know.

Sadly Tsunade's death whether it happens or not will have a big impact on her, I would imagine something similar to when J-man passed on. The good news is, that Naruto grew exponentially more powerful when this happened, so here's hoping Sakura get's a power up.

I would like to see that too! Some sort of Sasori fight x 10x rageous. I agree that it will have an impact and will affect her in some sort of way and that's why I am curious how Kishi will portray that IF it happens. ^^

Well, Tsunade might indeed live. And if she survives I won't be surprised, to be honest. Creation/Genesis Rebirth reconstructs organs so it is highly probable that if Katsuyu will put her body back together, she'll survive. And as well, it seems that Katsuyu responded in a way that makes us believe that Tsunade has handled this before the event and she will make it. But her condition and the condition of the other kages is pretty bad so yeah, it's the possibility where she doesn't survive.

I imagine she won't really find out until the end of the war since they are all supossed to be running to Naruto....then again Tsunade was crushed by a tree when they had been origionally in a deasert (can't spell) so she might run into her on her way! I think she'll be upset like a Kage dying unless they decide to flashback their relationship in which she will pull a Naruto & Jaraiya! Oh and I feel you on the Sakura and Hinata thing!!! I keep wanting Sakura to be more than a Tsunade clone, and I wanta Hinata to show she's just not another piece of fodder...but I can't control that now can I ^.^!!

Yeah, the probability of Sakura finding out later is to be taken into consideration, indeed.
But if she finds out it would be nice to have some flashbacks and see how their relationship was constructed until now. I mean, we saw that Tsunade was kind of a commando sergeant to her, and that the training with Tsunade was hard as hell, but for that Sakura has a big respect for her, and I am sure that not just that.

And yes, I want to see Sakura some sort of second Tsunade as well for Hinata to be on the same pair with Neji, Hinata deserves that too! She has worked a lot for everything.

Hello long time member 1st time post. I belive shizune will be more affected then sakura not sayin sakura wont either but i feel as if sakura had more of the student-teacher (it seemed like tsunde wanted it that way too) bond then naruto did with the gallent jiraya his was more of grandfather-grandson bond. Honestly i will be sadden if tsunade dies she was the last link of the ppl (besides kakashi and iruka) that naruto made his claim to fame to i.e. Watch me become hokage the 3rd is gone jiraya is gone and kakshi got his hands and mind full of obito i belive sakura will react the same way naruto did (as will naruto react the same way again) when he got the news of kakshis death when he was fighting pain take her anger and focus it into kickin some major butt! Im indifferent when it comes to sakura cause her faults come from kishis lack of writing skills when it comes to females his best female char is tsunde so if she does die i hope he does put more effort into another female (i chose hinata sorry! Yes, as I've said Shizune's reaction won't be such a mystery than Sakura's reaction given the fact that their screen-time together was portrayed differently.
Well, as I've said, I want both Sakura and Hinata to be developed. Sakura in the Tsunade direction and Hinata in the head of the Hyuuga direction.
It would be really nice to see them growing strong!

That would be really nice to see, as we've seen that her and Katsuyu kinda have a connection. I mean, they both speak very familiar. Of course that that's thanks to Tsunade but that's a first step, hehe.

May be Sakura teams will return there to help them. Personally i felt so sad to see her at that state. Madara really hate senju. It was only Tsunade who was far gone. :'(

She will cry, I agree, but asking Naruto to get revenge for her, is not like Sakura does.
Stop putting the situation with Sasuke over oher situations.
That in the first place, she did what she could by her own, then asked Naruto because she knew that the only one who could bring Sasuke back would be Naruto. Naruto decided to make that the promise of a life-time, not Sakura.
And she wasn't the only one who believed that he is able to bring Sasuke back.
If you look carefully throughout the story, so believes Neji and other people who met Naruto. Damn, even Itachi himself stated that Naruto is the only one who can save him.
Why don't we blame all these characters for believing the same stuff Sakura believed in?

Me too! And as I've said before, it is known Shizune's reaction, Sakura's more appealing, in my opinion. And seeing Sakura's character, I believe that, indeed, she will follow that path.

Well, yes, she will be devastated. And if she can't handle the responsability I am sure Sakura will be able to. Why? Because in the Pein arc when Pein killed Shizune, Sakura did a brilliant job with that.

Well, I am aware of the fact that Sakura cannot do that much against Madara BUT it would be nice to show some feats that will be the support key in winning over Madara.
If Sakura will do something significant, all the haters will just say... plot no jutsu, not recognizing her potential as a shinobi.
Not to mention that many of them forget that she was the key in discovering the master-plan behind the bad guy team, meaning Zetsu replicating known shinobi so that he could infiltrate. If it wasn't for Sakura, many casualties would have happened in this war.
But sure, why recognise this feat of her when we can bash?
And yes, it would be nice to see her supporting them as a healer as there's none there and they face potential thread given Madara is there.

i think naruto will be effected more by tsunade's death than sakura....sakura will inherit tsunade's role as the ultimate medical ninja....but since she's not a senju she wont have that vast chakra pool tsunade had....maybe she will learn to summon katsuyu
