So basically, this is what we see at the end of chapter 500.

First off, is Kirge dead at this point?​

IMO: Yes, because he's sustained too much damage at this point.

Secondly, will that prison go away if he is indeed dead?​

IMO: Yes, because most (if not all) Bleach techniques go away when the user dies.

Finally, who did it?​

IMO: At FIRST, I thought it was Ishida, because of the bright light shown above. However, they do show a sword at the end and Urahara says something like "Oh no!" So maybe it's Aizen? If this is true, then we will have had two villainous revivals in some of our favorite manga SPOILER

Whoever it is to make Kisuke say "Oh no" only means that he/she must be bad ass and someone that Kisuke could possible fear I have no theory on it being Grimmjaw which is what a lot of people are saying but we just have to wait and find out

The blade still resembles Ichigo's in bankai, i wanna say hollow would be powerful enough to maybe break the prison, but it's really unlikely.

I do not think its Espada four no it was stated that Orihime revived Halibel so I knew she wasn't dead its possible that it is Grimmjaw it wasn't stated he was dead or anything

1 - well do recall that kirge has absorbed ayon, who was able to take a strike similar/stronger than that and continue to fight, so its difficult to say, but i doubt he will continue

2- yea the prison will most likely dissipate

By sheer process of elimination it would have to be either Nell or Grimmjow
-Nell exploded with power the first time he was being trampled by Tesla/Nnoitra. The trend is the same here. Her friends are being ravaged and Ichigo is helpless.
-Grimmjow needs to return sooner or later. Now would be a fine time.

Everyone seems to be missing one major point, these new enemies aren't strong,
In fact they're very weak, they rely on gimmicks (Blut, bankai trapping) to win, because they're human,
Kirge was down for the count after a single bakudo, and it wasn't even a big one, sure it was from Urahara, but can anyone provide and example when any of the other villains in the manga were floored by a simple bakudo?
The fact is, Kirge had just activated his offensive blut, meaning he had zero defense, and being human, even Tsukushima could've killed him at that point, so to anyone who says that Grim would not have the power, i say bullshit.
