I mean, I just noticed but neither of them had teared or shown any consideration when it was burning, even robin was tearing.

I mean we get, the two strongest men of luffy, the right and the left hand men of the captain(oda's words) but damn they didn't even seem sad to me, zoro had that dumb ass poker face the whole time and sanji was just smoking his shit like nothing happened. Why do you think oda preferred to keep it that way?

Ur high as shit if you can't c how Sanji is sad.. That's why his face is in shadow etc.

Don't expect manly tears from Zoro and Sanji for just a ship that is about to burn. It has to be something huge for them to make them cry, that's what makes their characters so awesome and unique, otherwise they are no different than Usopp.

Both Sanji and Zoro had some beautiful memories with the merry. They both lived on it. Even if merry was justa ship, they considered it as a part of their crew. If merry happened to be a living person and dying in front of them then they would have cried along with others.
Whereas other SHs also had beautiful memories but they are all vulnerable to emotions and so they cried.

Sanji while leaving the baratie cried because he was thanking for the care the people took for him. Means he has beautiful memories with them.
Similarly zoro cried because he lost to the person who is the greatest swordsman and Zoro is striving to become one. Obviously one will cry if they lose to the person to be surpassed. Similarly he cried when kuina died.

They both have memories with merry but not to that extent. Or they both were giving a strong farewell to their member who went through a lot to save SHs and don't want to insult merry's efforts. A moment of silence was all needed for them to say good bye to merry.

Pretty sure Sanji is crying. That's why his face is hidden. Zoro isn't the type to cry over things like this though, so nothing surprising. Not long than few chapters back when the other strawhats were crying over a drawing, he had a similar reaction

He was probably like this when it happened

They obviously cared about the going merry, but they didnot thought it was, i dont know like maybe they didnot thought it was worth crying for a ship. Whats gone is gone, crying wont bring it back.
But they cried while while loosing to mihawk in case of zorro and while leaving barritie in case of sanji because, zorro had failed in his ambition to become a WSS and got defeated in front of his captain which was much painful for zorro, i mean like loosing already before they even began their journey to the grand line. In case of sanji, well he was leaving his home, the so called barritie restaurant to achieve his own dream,, i.e. to find the all blue. That must have been an emotional beginning for him. So both of them had their emotional break down once, and they are not the kind of people who cries for everything they loose. Someone must be available to comfort their crew mates when such occurrence takes place....
Thats what i think of zorro and sanji not crying for going merry........... but they obviously cared for going merry like everybody cared...

can't find it either, it was on wiki right when it came out smh, I guess it was a mistranslation

Though this dude claims he seen a similar one, so there you go, I'm nit crazy :lol

Nah I'm not calling out anyone lol, it's just that since this is kinda big for both, I mean, outside of the manga even zoro hasn't been called the vice or anything so I really do wanted to see the source. We can pretty much ourselves conclude that the order goes this way in SH but for now i can't really base it on anything official.

So yes, they did care for the ship.

As for Zoro not crying... the dude is probably the most calm person in these kind of situations. He stood back all serious, during the whole ussop argument, while everyone else was screaming (including sanji and nami) and etc.
