Did the Naruto series fail with its message of "hard work" and "cooperation"?

To me it seemed like rikudou chakra, stealing dojutsus, hashiroids, gigantic spiritual warriors (PS), and chakra monsters still won the day.

In fact, everyone who cooperated and used their own abilities wound up like this.

I like part 1's message but part two was like watch Yugioh & i only tuned in 4 or 5 months apart to see what i missed months earlier.

That is very true and I have to give Part 1 credit for that. Everything revolved around training and battle intelligence, and even if a character had KKG it didn't guarantee a victory.

Sasuke also worked hard. Kishi has said his favorite hobby is just straight up training, and while he may unlock powers freely, he still trains to control them. The fact that Sasuke himself said he was just getting used to his new eyes during the Madara and Kaguya fights show that he doesn't just awaken a power and becomes an expert.

But in the end he still had to steal Itachi's eyes, get rikudou handout, and steal bijuu chakra.

In the end, Naruto's hard work and cooperation with others is what enabled him to reach his goals and even unite all five Great Countries together, so in a sense, no I wouldn't, Kishimoto didn't really mess up. That message was ingrained even towards the end with Hashirama needing Madara to obtain "their" idea of peace, Naruto needing the support of the Shinobi Alliance to defeat Juubito, Naruto requiring Sasuke to defeat Juubidara, and even Hagoromo encouraging cooperation between both Naruto and Sasuke. I'd say Kishimoto was somewhat successful.

The only issue is when Naruto was destined for greatness from the start which is dumb considering Naruto was portrayed to be the underdog who would change his destiny and reach his goals, but meh.
