That's ridiculous. The other kage are mega old, they passed the title down to a younger generation. gaara didn't need to because he is apart of said generation already.

What the fck would the Gokages have to fear about? They always go down with fight so if they have all resigned it means that they want the next generation to step up as leaders and that they have gotten old.

I can't see one of the Kages running in fear of Sasuke Uchiha, oh wait maybe just Danzo.

That's not logical at all. Just bcoz they gave up their seat??? lol.. Sasuke is a bluff, the former gokages definitely did not fear him. Even Ay did not fear on attacking sasuke even if it means he also got damaged big time. Also, They are still the kages during Naruto The Last. Boruto is like a decade after so it's reasonable they step back from their position.
