A lot of people say he beat Kakashi, but technically speaking he didn't. He could of possibly won but plot no jutsu prevented that.Can we agree he died of chakra exhaustion saving Choji's fatass?

I think plot no jutsu played a huge role. I mean Kakashi could have done a suprise attack and Kamui him, or Lightning bladed him in the back in the very beginning. The Deva Path didn't see Kakashi show up while he was about to kill Ikura.

But once there was contact between both, it would go to DEVA in a true one on one with no plot no jutsu, i think

well actually, if it werent for Asura using plot no jutsu to get back up after being crushed and taking the blow for Deva, Kakashi and team would've killed Deva

It's as clear as day that Deva Path defeated Kakashi. Kakashi couldn't land any of his Chidori (including variants). This was also the case after Kakashi realized what Deva's power was. It doesn't matter if Chouji was there or not, Kakashi wouldn't have won
