Did Naruto and Sasuke surpass thier predecessors?

Kishi has been saying that each generation will surpass the previous and has in many ways said Sasuke & Naruto will surpass Madara & Hashi respectively.

My question is, have they done so?

Is current Naruto > Hashirama?
and/or
Is current Sasuke > Ren Madara(Jubii jin is overkill)?

Please state why you say yeah or nah

Captain obvious, hello. I never said a thing about them being in any way superior to double rinnegan juubi madara. The fact is, being able to do so well against one rinnegan is impressive enough. I can see BZ telling him that, but that doesnt negate the fact they were winning that battle. Madara himself said he can't afford to underestimate them anymore, they were no longer normal kids. He had to get serious or else he would have lost. Double rinnegan madara should be able to win.

I think you fail to realize that OP asked about current Sasuke and Naruto. Nobody is arguing that without the powerups they still surpassed them, that's obviously not the case. Can you even understand what we were asked?
