Kagutsuchi is more like an explosion. I don't believe Tobirama was referring to Amaterasu in specific.

The name Kagutsuchi was originally a compound phrase, consisting of kagu, an Old Japanese root verb meaning "to shine"; tsu, the Old Japanese possessive particle; and chi, an Old Japanese root meaning "force, power".

Kagutsuchi is a Mangekyo ability, like Amaterasu or Tsukuyomi. It's named after the god of fire in Japanese mythology. While it's individual parts might be phrases, it's not a word Kishi just made up.

EMS doesn't add unique jutsu. Sasuke had Enton before EMS, because he used it vs Raikage.

Amaterasu is unique to Sasuke and Itachi
Susano'o is "rare" to Uchiha who have both Mangekyo powers
Tsukuyomi is unique to Itachi
Izanagi and Izanami aren't Mangekyo abilities. Danzo, Itachi, and Madara used them with 3 tomoe Sharingan.

Sasuke also possess Tsukuyomi.

Tsukuyomi is the only Genjutsu in the entire manga that generates a reverse palette.

You must be registered for see images

Left eye is Amaterasu
Right eye is Kagutsuchi
Having both of his eye powers gives him Susano'o.

Tsukuyomi also allows the user to warp time and space. That genjutsu just temporarily paralyzed Bee and was quickly broken.

Sasuke doesn't have Tsukuyomi.

Danzo says that Itachi could do so in HIS Tsukuyomi

Which indicates that not every user of Tsukuyomi would have the necessary skill to bend the target's perception of time. All that means is that Sasuke's Tsukuyomi is too weak to control time and space perception, hence why he only used it that once.

It means Sasuke doesn't have Tsukuyomi. Each MS has an ability. The third power is the Susano'o, only unlocked after gaining the first 2 powers from the eyes. This was stated in the manga and hasn't been contradicted. It still stands as fact. Sasuke already has his 2 Mangekyo powers and his Susano'o. He doesn't have Tsukuyomi.

Nice fanfic, though. :sigar:

Only Tsukuyomi has that reverse color palette.

This argument relies on the premise that each set of MS only get 3 abilities, which is false. Obito's MS had two variants of what is ultimate one jutsu in each eye. Shishui has the exact same ability in each eye, topping off at one. These two prove that "3" is not the universal number for Mangekyo powers.

The fact that Obito's pair of eyes awakened the Susano'o is proof that you do not need 2 separate abilities in each eye to awaken Susano'o, which is directly confirmed in the scan below. Sasuke doesn't say you need 2 Mangekyo powers, just two Mangekyo in each eye. Both of these completely refute your claim that you need 2 powers for Susano'o, which clocks it out at the third.

There's also the fact that Itachi exhibits the ability to use Kagutsuchi:

Which refutes your claim that one can only have at max three Mangekyo abilities, so it is fully plausible to say that Sasuke had, in addition to Kagutsuchi, Amaterasu, and Susano'o, the ability to use Tsukuyomi.

It is not false. I never once stated the MS abilities had to be separate, only that each eye possesses a single ability, which is true and stated in manga.
Obito's left eye has 1 power, Kamui.
Obito's right eye has 1 power, Kamui.
After unlocking the powers of both eyes, he can attain Susano'o, the third and final power.

Same with Shisui and Kotoamatsukami.

Sasuke calls Susano'o the Third Power, just like Itachi did. He doesn't explicitly refer to the first two as "Mangekyo powers" and just says Mangekyo, but his sentence regarding Susano'o confirms he is talking about the powers of the eyes.

Itachi clearly says himself he only possesses 3 powers.

Which refutes your claims that he has Kagutsuchi. And he also refers to Susano'o as the "third and final power", meaning there is only 3 powers to the Mangekyo. 1 in each eye, which "clocks out" at 2, and Susano'o, which "clocks out" at 3.

Sasuke doesn't and never has had Tsukuyomi. His 3 powers are Amaterasu, Kagutsuchi, and Susano'o.

Again, nice fanfic. But this is the wrong section to be posting in. :sigar:

The fact that Itachi extinguished the flames is proof that he had a capacity in Kagutsuchi. All that scan means is that Itachi was unaware of what Kagutsuchi was.

All it means is Kishi didn't have Kagutsuchi planned out as a separate Mangekyo technique that could control Amaterasu at that time, so he got rid of the flames without any real explanation as to why the inextinguishable flames were magically extinguished. Because he couldn't let Sasuke burn to death at that point in the story.

And honestly, Itachi not realizing he has a Mangekyo power to control Amaterasu? :lol This series has shown us every time that Uchiha magically know how to use their eyehax immediately after gaining it.

Just want to add - If its not Tsukuyomi, why does it strain the eye if its normal genjutsu? I agree

Yeah , pretty much - Why would it strain the eye anyways? As far as i know normal sharingan genjutsu doesnt strain the eye at all - He just lack skillz for Tsukuyomi, which is why he is better with black flames

I think at the MS level there are some jutsu that are just inherent:

Amateratsu
Susanoo
Tsukuyomi
Izanagi
Iganami

I think all MS users have the capability of using any of these as most of the doujutsu I just mentioned have been seen used by multiple Uchiha.

I believe the abilities start to become unique and exclusive at the EMS level (with the exception of Kamui)

Sasuke- Enton
Madara- Perfect Susanoo

Had Itachi or Obito obtained EMS They would probably have some jutsu unique to them as well.

Problem is that Sasuke already had Enton with his MS.

EMS didn't change anything about him except Itachi's chakra essence and a little more control over his ocular power.

He was referring to Izuna's kagatsuchi, Hashirama said Sasuke reminded him of Madara's brother and that would've been emphasized by them sharing the same ability

he doesnt otherwise when sasuke used it on him, he would have made some sort of comment about it. also tobirama he had not seen such flame control before(kagusuchi), not amaterasu.
