Did Itachi really change anything by undoing Edo Tensei?

I don't think he did. What Edos were still out there besides Madara and people like Mangetsu and Kimimaro, who were going to be sealed eventually by the Alliance anyway? And we all know it had no effect on Madara. By releasing Edo Tensei, Itachi actually harmed the Alliance's chances because he undid his own reincarnation, and we all know Edo Itachi is a very powerful pawn.

The only benefit I can think of was how it allowed Dan Kato to use his Ghost jutsu or whatever to save Tsunade. But I think Kishi probably included that so there was at least some benefit. Post your thoughts.

I agree it was a complete waste, Itachi could of been a force in the war.

It had an impact, no matter how u look at it, the edos are dead, but they were killing living ppl, even if the kill count reduced by a few hundred, it was still something

Kabuto was a problem and Itachi had the solution to undo edo without killing him.

The only people he stops.

1. Kimmimaru and Chiyo (who were already on their last legs against KCM Naruto).

2. Countless scores of fodder Edo who we never even get to see.

So pretty much he did nothing with the action. The key will be how the now changed Kabuto will help which doesn't entirely apply to the end of Edo Tensei so much as Izanami

If he hand't welll then the alliance wouldn't have able to save Naruto and Bee since they'd be preoccupied

Also from the looks of it There were still a huge number of reanimated ninja unsealed

No, I think it was good that they defeated Kabuto and put him under Izanami. I just don't think undoing Edo Tensei helped much. Though, in retrospect Itachi had no way of knowing Madara would overcome ET.

He set a better stage for the fodders to Die, I guess. By the hands of Uchiha Madara, Uchiha Obito and Juubi.

^^^^This.

It certainly reduced the casualties of the alliance in the hands of the edos.

The presence Edo Itachi would add something to the strength of the alliance but I would say it would be insignificant.

Edo Madara already owned 5 Kages. Even the 4 Edo Hokages couldn't stand a chance (except Hashirama before Madara was revived by Rinne Tensei). Edo Itachi would certainly be owned by Edo Madara.

That was going to be my next point, sir. He did what was good at that point of time, don't forget we still can't say that Kabuto didn't have anything more in arsenal.u.u

Ya, other edos could be defeated by Naruto. I wish Itachi would have fought Madara as well :|

It does seem pointless since Madara is still around, but Itachi did the right thing imo.
