Clearly someone doesn't understand the meaning of what kishi was trying to establish in his manga, brothers affection and love for a land, geez if you don't know what manga is all about don't read it.

I don't read for the emotional stuff, but for the story and the fights and humor.
I mean, hyperventilating because a friend of you left you and does'nt want to come back is'nt exactly healthy.

On topic:it is completely possible they died of similar diseases but there's no evidence they were similar.there's hundreds of diseases that kill and unfortunately kimimaru and itachi had one.now the chances of them being the same...very slim,but like I said there's no way we would be able to know.it is sad though.four of my five favorites have died in battle now but the two I favored the most die in battle but not because the opponent bested them but because of illness.what a waste.the two best shinobi I've seen the entire manga(aside from pain of course) both had to drop dead in their tracks before they were about to win.gaara,lee,and sasuke would all be dead if it weren't for illnesses.in fact after kimimaru killed gaara(current kazekage might I add),and lee(who's talents are superior to most and was actually using loopy fist at the time) he wouldve most likely caught up to and killed naruto(meaning no more naruto or kyuubi) and taken sasuke to oro in time resulting in sasuke becoming the next vessel.my point is that if kimimaru hadn't died the entire course of history would change.no more lee,no more gaara meaning he wouldve never become kazekage,no more sasuke(which changes loads of things),and no more naruto(being the protoganist I need not explain the significance of this

Yes bu they didn't gave up their lifes just to protect their village. They didn't killl their sibilings to protect the village right ?
There is noone else like Itachi.

They all pretty much did it. Itachi's was just more dramatic and anti-hero.

And for him killing a sibling, Sasuke is still alive. You probably meant his clan :-D.
