Did itachi an Kimimaru dies from the same disease?

this has bugged me ever snce hearing about itachi having a disease. during the fight with sasuke he seemed to have had the same symptoms as kimmimaro.

1. Both were coughing up lots of blood.

2. In their final fights, they both died before delivering the final blow (thats what it seemed about for itachi for a while).

3. Itachi wasn't fighting at full potential, appareantly kimmimaro wasnt eaither.

4. Both were on medicine.

5. Itachi was a lot slower than usual.

6. Kimmimaro mentions that he was only moving through sheer will power, same as Itachi.

7. Both seemed to know that they were gonna die in their fight.

Discuss...

No way they died from the samething.. Kimimaru was hook up to all machines.. and itachi was out capturing the beast..

No, they didn't die from the same thing. And everyone coughs up blood in this manga, that doesn't determine anything.

Its definitely possible, but in the end it doesn't really matter. There isn't enough evidence supporting it either way.

Itachi's disease was most likely the result of his experiments with Susano-o, because it shotens your life-span and that's the only way I can think of to actually shorten it in a way the it's possible to prover that you shorten it. and as far as I no, kimimaru can't use Susano-o. and anyways, they weren't the same because kimimaru's medicine was probably to combat the disease were as Itachi's was solely to extend his life, not neccissarily to combat a disease

I don't think they died of the same thing... Kimimaru was all jacked up 'coz of Orochimaru using him as a test subject and stuff.. Plus he was on a lot of medicine... Some medicines don't mix well.. Itachi was sick... But he.. I dont think he EVER fought at his full potential in the anime or manga... And it would be even less power since he was dying and on drugs to keep him alive, plus he was fighting his brother.. Kimimaru was purely sick, he didnt have any affection for the ones he fought... Even though they both had kekkia genkai or whatever, I dont think that every affect is the same... You dont go blind when you use byakugan... If you use the Mangekyo Sharigan's ability you do though.... Anyways I dont think they did..

dude shut up. How can u say that these are lame deaths. Itachi died for the sake of Konoha. For the sake of Sasuke. That was the best fight in the whole anime.

You forget that at that time he was supposed to be an evil bad ass.
They totally ruined his character after his death.
It was not even a real fight as Itachi did'nt even fight seriously, he just showed all MS techs, and even made Sasuke obtain MS abilities.
It was a lame death, Sasuke was basically wetting his pants and then Itachi just dropped dead.

It doesnt matter it was an epic dead. He died for Konoha. There arent many ninjas that would do what Itachi did.

Clearly someone doesn't understand the meaning of what kishi was trying to establish in his manga, brothers affection and love for a land, geez if you don't know what manga is all about don't read it.

It doesnt matter it was an epic dead. He died for Konoha. There arent many ninjas that would do what Itachi did.

The unnamed low level Jonin who got his soul yanked out by the Samsara of Heavenly Life dude because he wouldn't say where Naruto is. The guy who said "**** you" to Konan when she asked. Danzo.

I do wonder what the heck happened to Itachi.. we know he wanted, planned to lose, however we don't know who made him so much damage before fighting Sasuke

Yes bu they didn't gave up their lifes just to protect their village. They didn't killl their sibilings to protect the village right ?
