I doubt Madara spared him. He could have killed Hashi and stolen his DNA.

Well it was sarcasm, because it is nonsense that Hashirama spared him, he was convinced 100% he was dead, but he still Managed to fool Hashirama in that kind of state. :|

umm they clashed multiple times, but there last fight ended with 1st hokage winning but madara didnt die or lose technically, cause the first thought he killed him, but if he did show mercy who noes. but just to let you guys no, i think madara won the fight no offence cause hashirama died in a war right? while madara was still alive
